I brewed an IPA the other day where I cleared out some randoms from the freezer. I used Chinook FWH and an oz each of Azacca, Green Bullet, Dr Rudi, Caliente and Centennial in the FO/WP. Since this was a random of sorts, I'm not sure what to dry hop with. Certainly normally one would match up complimentary or same hops as the WP. But with this, I'm not sure. I have significant amounts of BRU-1, Amarillo, Citra, Cascade, Centennial, and Wai-iti.

Obviously this is hugely subjective, but I'd do this:

West coast IPA go Amarillo Cascade Centennial in equal parts ,

More Hazy / soft, go Citra Amarillo and BRU-1.

I'd advise not dry hopping with more than like 4 hops , diminishing returns, muddy showing. Maybe. Then again maybe you stumble on some magic ratio and create something amazing. Just keep notes!

Depends on what scent you want .

I am not familiar with many of the hops you have used but, I am partial to west coast style ipa so the above thought are mine ,but, I’d also consider citra.

Amarillo is the most consistent with the other hops you've used, which will lean on the sides of lemon and orange citrus, and resinous pine. So if you want to stay consistent, try that, with perhaps some Centennial as well (optional).

But if it were me, to add more complexity, I might go with BRU-1 to help bring out brighter pineapple.

I would avoid Citra as it is extremely overpowering, you won't be able to taste anything else if you use any Citra. You've got a great base already, just keep it simple and stay away from Citra, which is like "the cheater hop".

    Cheater hop, hahahahaha

I have used .5 oz citra dry hopping for 3-5 days in pale ales for years. I can still taste other hops used in the boil and the citra.

now if your using 2 or more oz of citra in the dry hop , then I will agree that will be mostly in the mix.

    all the best

Don't get me wrong, I love Citra as much as anybody else. My point is that a little goes a long way, and every beer under the sun doesn't NEED to have this hop in it. If you're looking to brighten up a less than stellar IPA, go ahead. But maybe you don't NEED to.

Amarillo and wai-iti would make for a tropical experience.

But based on your boil hops I would dry hop that with centennial and cascade. That would give it's real west coast feel. Citra is starting to get overused. I rarely dry hop with it unless I pair it with Mosaic. I feel like that combo makes the other one pop more.

I agree with sticking to one dry hop, there's already a lot going on. But I'd recommend tasting the beer, smelling the hop, and imagine that together. Go with it. Beauty of homebrew.
