    16 ounce can.
    Canned 10/14/21.

    Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one and a half inch medium dark tan head over a near black body with lacing.

    Nose of dark roasted malt, milk chocolate, and slight dark chocolate.

    Taste mirrors the nose closely, with a hop bitterness on the finish.

    Nice feel and overall, a real good stab at a straight up American Double Stout.

    Cheers to the boys on the waterfront in Burlington, VT!

    A brand new beer in 2021; and a brand new song in 1971.
    The boys broke this out in the middle of "Dark Star" when I witnessed my first mirror ball.

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Intensely dark brown body, nearly black; nice, dense, light brown head. Nice, sweet, chocolatey smell; Oreo cookies; very little to no smoke presence. The taste mimics the smell; heavy sweetness; vanilla; rich, roasted grain taste; still a lack of smokiness; very minor bitterness. Heavy body; smooth and slick on the palate; nice residual sugar feel; mainly sweet throughout.

    The apparent lack of smokiness from the smoked malts is a let down. Too, the sweetness is a bit amped up a tad much. Still, a nice, rich porter for the cooler weather ahead.

    Poured at 45 °F; no canning date identified

    Home early, sampling Evil Twin's 5th Avenue Ale, an amazing double dry hopped American Pale Ale that I was able to acquire this weekend. Fruity, not overly sweet, sessionable, and sweet: yeah, I could definitely get used to this.
