Yikes. Is this a reputable online merchant? I would contact them as sending a customer 5 month old Zombie Dust is poor service imo.

 

Ok, maybe they made an honest mistake. I would still contact them about it on it. I've not had ZD in some time but my recollection on reviews is that it's one which is better fresh & 5 months does not cut it. Have you tried the trading forums?

 

Yeah, it's pretty easy to find these days. If you have access to something like Russian River (e.g., Pliny the Elder) or similar type beers you should be able to find someone to do an even $4$ swap. Good luck.

I hate hearing about shit like this. 5 mo. old ZD, and a premium paid to get it? That's just wrong.

 

Imho, not a good idea to order ZD from a store in New Jersey.

 

Zombie Dust is so readily available I'd think you'd be able to get more than an even swap. They have been expanding their distribution and I can go pretty much anywhere and get a six pack.

Speaking of which I recently bought a six pack locally and it was 4 months old, definitely not the same beer it is when its fresh. I was in a rush when I bought it and didn't have my glasses so I didn't read the date when I bought it. 5 months delivered is nuts, shame on them. I bought mine at a convenience store so I'm not surprised that the date wasn't good but if you are an online store that's unacceptable.

 

Did you have to wipe the dust off?

Print out this string of comments about them and mail it or e-mail it to them. Then YELP them. Mail them a copy of that one too. If they are in FtLee NJ I found them on Yelp. 4.5 out of 5 stars. They need to be taken down a notch.

 

I found two different Linwood Wine locations in BA Places. Be sure to rate them there, too.

Perhaps there should be a subset of Places or an altogether different rating category for Beer shippers/delivery companies. I just posted this idea in the Beer Advocate Talk forum

 

I can’t find this under 3 months old here. I did find 5 week cold in Ohio. I would drink this more but $15 is more than I want to pay regularly.
