Latest beer steal?

I lied and said i found a So Happens Its Tuesday 750ml on a 50% off shelf and i paid 12 bucks for it. 1 month or so ago but thats the latest one

 

Damn! I just cringe and pay market price. I don't think I've found a legit beer bargain in years.

 

My local coop has Sans Pangaea from the Bruery in the cooler for $5. Really nice domestic kriek. Felt like stealing.

 

Dogfish Head World Wide Stout is out and about, floating around... hope it gets the "Costco 120 Min" treatment: 25-26$ 4 packs. That's a deal for me.

 

Yep, that literally is a beer steal.

 

Earlier this year I found several varieties of sours from Wicked Weed on clearance at $2.99. Got several good ones, loved metatropics in particular.

The local beer store had a couple bottles of 2018 Raison D'Extra in the clearance bin. $1 each, plus tax. Their loss for not knowing these get better with age.

 

Speedway Stout 16oz cans for $0.75 each…was told because they were broken up 4-packs and a couple cans were dented. Tasted fine, damn fine.

 

In Pennsylvania beer deals do not exist, since we are regularly paying the most beer taxes in the country, I consider the 12 - Yuengling Lord Chesterfield's I got cold for $14.50 a solid deal for context.

 

And in an hour or so I will be purchasing a 12-pack of Yuengling Hershey's Chocolate Porter for a comparable price at my local Wegmans supermarket.

P.S. I still have a few bottles left from my recent purchase of a 12-pack of Yuengling Oktoberfest. Not a great beer within the Oktoberfest beer style definition but just a great beer to drink.

 

2 bottles for Allagash Nancy for $3 each. One of my favorites of all time, and it usually sells for about $15-20 per bottle. Well, it was somewhere in that price range, but the system at the store was messed up and the cashier typed in Allagash and just chose the first thing that came up. So yeah, a steal!

 

Total Wine has Night Shift Whirlpool 12-packs for $12.99 - hard to beat the quality at that price!

 

I am uncertain as to the exact amount of money saved but last weekend I purchased a mix-a-six at my local Wegmans supermarket:

• Schlafly Pumpkin Ale
• Leffe Blond
• Leffe Brune
• Ommegang Solera
• Ommegang Rosetta
• Firestone Walker Oaktoberfest

I paid 12 bucks for the above which is a good deal IMO.

Just today I found a 22 ounce bottle of Stone’s Chai Russian Imperial Stout for $5.99. I have seen it for $10 once or twice so I thought it a steal. The bottle is all dusty and I am pleased to report that six years mellowed the chai spices to where they actually blend nicely with the RIS.
Same South Philly distributor had Guinness Foreign Extra Stout for $6.99 (4 11.2 ounce bottles) and Warsteiner Dunkel for $7 (6 11.2 ounce bottles). Grabbed all three.

 

Not according to The Tax Foundation, which lists PA excise tax rate on beer as #46 in the US at 8¢/gallon. (So, less than a cent on a 12 oz. bottle of beer).
