This always boggles me. I just took about 20-25 glasses to the Habitat for Humanity store over the weekend, I've still got about a dozen-15, and T really only use 2, my La Fin du Monde tulip (aka The Tulip of Doom) and a Sam Adams Perfect pint. The ToD gets the most use. At work I mostly use a teku, for my stash beers, because it's stemmed and convenient to grab. It's still ugly though.

I used to own a very nice Teku but since I’m a clumsy a$$ it slipped in my hands and ended up in pieces on my kitchen floor. :slight_frown:

Teku are very elegant but very, very fragile.

My wife bought one from Central Coast Brewing.. Personally I prefer using a tall stemmed tulip or the modified perfect pint for drinking my IPAs. Something about that tall skinny stem on the teku just screams "break me". No way would I trust the dishwasher with it. Most of the time it sits in the cabinet obstructing my reach for the glasses i really want.

I have 1 plain Teku that I usually save for special high-end beers and most of the time I let mt friends drink from it. I’m fine with my assortment of pint glasses and tulip most of the time.

I have a Teku and while I think it’s a rad piece of glassware I am not a fan of the long stem. I used to use mine a lot then started using my tulip more and now I use my tonic glass the most. Any time I am drinking a really nice beer and just relaxing than it’s the teku. Sadly those days are few and far between. I find myself preferring the tonic pint glass because it’s versatile, and Sturdy. I need something I am drink while bbqing, eating dinner etc without fear of breaking the glass.

High quality bba stout only goes in my Teku. Everything else these days tonic pint glass.

I have two - one from New Glory in Sacramento, and a Bottle Logic one. They are very pretty but they don't hold a whole lot of beer. I mix my glasses up, I usually drink whatever in whatever, unless I get to a good sour or saison.

Nope. Not gonna happen. Out of all my glassware my Sam adams perfect pint presents beer in a way that pleases palate more than any other glass. That being said I drink from the can like kimmich intended.

I like teku but the only one I had broke a couple of years ago and I haven't bought anymore since. I'd buy one again but I primarily use tulips for the same functionality.

I currently only have 2 Tekus.
1 from Tired Hands and 1 from Funk Brewing.
I did have one from Brew Hub, but for the life of me...I can't remember who I gifted it to or when. I'm pretty sure they don't even have them available anymore. It was one of the, what I would call, "thicker and sturdier" style, not as fragile.
To be honest I don't use them as much, too worried I'll break it somehow.

I'm assuming that every time in this post you wrote 'tonic', you actually meant 'nonic', yes?

I was the go to guy in the bike shop that removed stripped and stuck parts. I break everything I touch for better or worse. If I own a teku I give it 48 hours before it’s trash.

The Teku is perhaps the most hideous of all beer glass styles. It's an abomination. I've pretty much sworn off ever using one.

Seriously, I don't get why people like them. I've never seen such a god awful ugly glass.

Just out of curiosity, do you run your other glassware through the dishwasher?

I have one; hate it. It doesn't fit in my dishwasher, so I have to wash it by hand. It has that long, fragile stem that means I have to be extra careful washing it. And my non-stemmed snifter works just as well for every beer. No thanks! It lives in the back of my cabinet awaiting its eventual trip to the recycle bin.

Trash? Oh, damn - you guys throw out broken stemmed beer glasses? My recycler won't take 'em and so I just keep them around...

I own 2. A Monkish one and a Carton one. Carton was the my local brewery at the time and I felt I should have a glass from them so the Teku was the only option when I bought it. Similar story with Monkish. Was there last year and felt the trip deserved a glass to commemorate it, but the Teku was the only option. I’ve used both maybe twice as I’m not really a fan of Tekus.

I got an unbranded one last year for a gift. I used it a couple of times, but it just didn't feel right in my hand, so it's in the box of extra glassware I keep around in case of emergency. I have to admit I choose my glass (usually regardless of style) by what glass looks good to me at that moment.

I have 2 Teku glasses and managed to break a third one without even using it. I occasionally use them for Tripels. All of them were gifts/merch

yes. over the many years I have only had one logo fade. on occasion I have to give them a quick rinse/wipe before use if I see any water spots but Cascade platinum packets have become our standard dish soap and it works well with our hard city water. Glasses typically come out very clear.

I was given one 5 years ago. Never used it and probably won’t. Ugly, feels fragile and I’m going to knock it over if my pets don’t. I also won’t be able to balance it on the sofa arm as I can with other glass.

    Enjoy
