I'm liking the switch to 12 oz cans.

 

PURCHASE INFORMATION
A ticket link will be made available on 11/4. It will go live at 9 AM on 11/5. Purchase of ticket includes 12 12oz cans; including 4 Benthic and 2 each of the 4 other variants. Limited to 1 per person.

A queue on the ticket link will form based on volume at random. After successful purchase, guest will be emailed a link to schedule pickup. Proxies permitted and can be added at second scheduling event. Tickets may sell out while you're in the queue.

Anyone have any idea if (during the past, I guess) if you could pick and choose, or whether it was a "buy it all or none of it" ordeal?

 

There were many options last year including a couple bundled options and a la carte 2pks of regular and some of the variants. Though, I believe Old Ben and Cherry Brandy variants were only available as part of the largest bundled option (10pk bundle).

 

Any guesses on this year’s price? I’m trying to remember last year’s but I can’t find it.

 

Last year's price was $151 for the 10 pack. So 160oz total.
This year is 144oz so by that math, ~$136. Last time there was a format change (bottle to cans) the price per ounce went down. We'll see if that continues. I wasn't blown away by any of the variants last year from memory and I think I actually liked just the regular the most so we'll see what we have going on this year.

Translated.

Today is Monday. On Thursday we will post a link to buy beer. On Friday at 9am the link will actually work.

You can buy 12 cans of beer. 4 you know. 8 you don’t know. But we know you’ll buy it.

At some point, which we have set, but may or may not know, the link will become chaos and a line will form. Once you give us money, we will email you with a time to pick up the purchase. Also maybe someone else can pick it up. At anytime during the chaos, the beer may sell out. Maybe you’ll be notified.

Type of beer you can actually buy will be announced Tuesday. (Two days before the non-working link gets posted. 3 days before it actually works.)

What have they typically done for pick up times? Is it going to be set for a specific weekend in the future, pick it up within X days, or....?

This slow trickle of info is annoying.

I'm moving in March and really don't need 12 more cans but Benthic and the variants have really become one of my favorites so hoping to actually pick up a pack instead of trading for the variants like usual.

I don't get the bitching about how they're doing this. They're going to give you a link the day before so you know where to go the day of and then schedule pickup after you get a confirmation email. Takes the hassle out of choosing a time while checking out.

 

I believe it’s what the kids mean by “edging.”
