It’s not a session IPA if you don’t session it.

Good afternoon BA's. The first choice today is from Flying Dog which i have not had for a lot of years given their relocation from Denver to Maryland and my long time residency in PHX. In going thru my reviews i saw i last had it in 2008 with a good review. Much to my surprise it still agrees with my pallet. Comes across like a hoppy barleywine but definitely no sweetness and a tad bit of booze. Fun to have again!
    Cheers,
    Tom

    Greetings BA's,

Time to chill. I'm no longer an Orval virgin. Finally, got around to trying this classic Trappist beer. Very unique. This one is considered young. Bottled in May of this year. As you can see, even a careful pour produces a massive head. As advertised, it's funky, yeasty and earthy with some spicy thrown in. I almost missed the spiciness with all the funk. Cheers all!

For some reason Dave Brubeck seemed a good match for this beer....

Ahhhhh, Belgian beers are cool, but a German Festbier still satisfies the senses this time of year...for me anyway. Weihenstephaner Festbeir from my hoarded stash! Prost!
