    It’s a real beer and it’s real good. $10 solid BA stout that’s a shelfie …

You have to click "Get Tickets" then you will see the tip page. On that tip page you MUST click "Have an access key?" link & it will open a box for you to type in the e-mail that was on your order. As you enter your e-mail into the Access Key section the "Unlock" button will activate & you need to click it. As long as your e-mail matches then it will show you both pickup windows.
Both pick up windows have number drop downs so click the drop down for the ticket window you want & choose 1 then click the "continue" button at the bottom of the screen and follow prompts

I got in on the Half Acre lottery

My buddy got in on the Maplewood lottery.

We both snagged the extra Cuppaccino two-packs they offered today.

Revolution will have amazing stuff for pre-order on the 16th.

Welcome to Chicago in the peak of stout season. It's fiscal brutality and a shit load of fun.

When I agreed to come along I figured I'd just get some Revo cans and that would be that.

    And then, things got crazy.

Poke around some more on Oznr, other local threads, etc. Things can get weirder.

The catch is they release so many ba stouts in Chicagoland this time of year that there aren’t enough days to physically drink them all before the start of the next stout season.

I've looked around on Oznr but I didn't see much there I was interested in. Open to hearing recs though.

We still be picking up his Prop Day box around 5p and staying at the Ace Hotel right near GI. Gonna park the car there after his pick up and Uber around the rest of the evening. Will leave on Sunday late morning.

God bless FFF for traditionally putting Dark Lord Day 5-6 months before stout season. I wish other brewers would realize that it shouldn’t be a season and they should release them in non traditional months so we don’t have to chase all the good beer in the same month.

So…. Anybody DRINK any half acre beer recently?

had some Tend and Orin last weekend. Both excellent. Best vintage of Orin, no doubt about it. I’m wondering if Tend is going to be murky throughout its 3 month stay or if future batches will pour a little more clear like I expected

Really enjoying Tend in particular as well as the concept of "winter IPA," which I initially chalked up to as a lame marketing ploy--I mean, it is a marketing ploy, but one I've now fallen for. There's an almost rye malt character (remember Red's Rye?) with underlying hop brightness. I will be revisiting this one.

Every year I tell myself to buy Orin and every year I don't in favor of the various Rev BA 'wines. At this point in my beer drinking life I don't want 16oz of BA anything in one sitting and I can infrequently share them because my wife doesn't like barley/wheat/rye-wines so this one gets passed up.

agreed I’m hoping the new 12 oz format for benthic will be a permanent change for all of half acre’s BA offerings

At this point, I wish more breweries did those little guys that St. Errant did. I’d be much more apt actually drink some of the BA stouts and not be having to think about whether or not a second beer is in the cards.

I’m definitely in the camp that BA beers don’t need to be in a format larger than 12oz. Not only do I rarely want more than 12oz, but 8oz is often perfect, and the last 4 is almost like a bonus on those nights.

12 oz bottles are the correct vessels. Drink 6oz, recap, and then decide whether to drink the remaining 6oz or leave it for the next evening.
