Almost messaged you to ask what you’d heard about it. (And about when you’re hitting F&M.)

Any more details or sourcing @William_Navidson?

Thanks. I vaguely remember an Instagram story over the weekend about them pouring at some event in Jenkintown, so I’m gonna hold out hope this is true. This would be a HUGE addition to the area. (If they bring Poe’s Sandwiches along for the ride, and Poe’s delivers, even better!)

Sorry to be a downer, but I wouldn't get your hopes up about Poe's adding another location -- he just really doesn't seem the type to seem to want to do that lol, speaking anecdotally.

All the Ralphius survived....there are 16 variants this year from what I understand.

I was in the neighborhood and needed a few things so stopped in at the Montgomeryville Wegmans, haven't been there in some time. The beer/wine section is in the process of being moved to the center of the store like the other Wegmans and because of this there isn't much on the shelves at all. I asked an employee about it and he confirmed that during the move the selection isn't the best. If you want many of the basics you can find them but there's much missing.

They also have an odd to go/convenience cooler by the register that has a hodge podge of six and twelve packs of beers and hard seltzers and what not.

Another thing many Wegmans are doing now is choose any four 16 oz cans for $16.99. Seems steep with many of the common beers they have in this section and I know that it's been driving the employees crazy at times, as people are not paying attention and grabbing a few for their mix a six pack; the KOP one has completely separated the coolers, and my guess is it is to avoid things like this.

And the beers in the KoP mix-a-six section all have color coded marks on them to indicate they are available for the mix-a-six.

How conscientiously the cashiers check for this?

    Cheers!

P.S. I have only picked beers from the mix-a-six section to create my mixed packs.

How does this one age? I put 2 bottles in the cellar but if they're better fresh then I won't wait.

Depends on what flavors you like. Fresh its nice and hoppy, based on past experiences, 1 to 2 years old it goes through a bit of awkward when the hops are fading but not gone. Then 3 to 5 years the more classic roasted malt flavors fully take over

These sound awesome, but I’m not at all a fan of the “no pre-orders this year.” Breweries requiring people to stand around in line to purchase their beer stopped being fun a while ago, and during an ongoing pandemic is a particularly stupid and dangerous way to treat one’s customers and staff. From the consumer side, the pre-order system worked great last year. Very disappointed they’re doing away with it.

I did a side by side, me and the wife, and a 2018 and a fresh one. We both liked the 2018 better. Back in the day Victory had Storm King with a 5 year date. The new release is marked one year but I still believe 5.

You and me both but I'm still going to go I think. Thankfully my local shop is doing pre-order for BCBS again this year.

Huge bummer that Free Will is not doing cans again for the Ralphius release. Those 8oz cans were clutch when you're talking about a big 14% stout.

Bound Beverages in Warrington….due to lower yields pre-order was restricted to those who ordered last year.
