Got here before noon and nobody was in line. Probably 30 deep at this point.

Welp, I looked for an update too early. Talked myself out of getting here at 1p and that looks like a big mistake.

No idea what you guys talking about this dark fruit, soy sauce, and not up to snuff talk about BBT5. It’s great and closest to BBT3 in terms of the barrel char, cigar, bbq bark and wood flavors.

I thought the same thing when I had it on Tuesday and thought I was crazy. Though I will say I agree with the dark fruit when warmer and did hear that comment a lot. Did not think soy sauce at all and definitely think it is right up there with the best of them

That was chaotic and fantastic. Got there at 2:40 to a line well over 100 peeps. It moved fairly quickly given the crowds and got a pour of 21 and 20 around 3:30. Think there was a snafu with the first keg of 19. Took another 45 min in line to revisit the bar. Went to order a little bit past 5 and 18 was already gone. Kudos to the staff for their perseverance through the insanity, it was bonkers inside the cellar

Couldn’t agree more. 2021 & 2019 were right there for me for best in show tonight

I missed the 2021 pour tonight, but had it Tuesday. The 2019 and 2018 were both showing quite well, though my preference was the 2018.

I may be in the minority but gosh, I wish they had an indoor space larger than the cellar or brewery

Never mind. Glad I didn't use work remote days, ha. Hopefully they're pouring something wild next Saturday.

Speaking of - any reason to get there early next Saturday? I would assume the lines have dissipated with the end of the event, but didn't know if lines appeared if SP announced specific tapings.

If you are going on a BBT weekend when BBT will be on draft, and you want a seat, I strongly encourage you to go early enough to get that seat. Others can give more info, but I’d be surprised if it wasn’t at least 20-30 before open, since there’s a high probability that other cool stuff will be available, even if just in onsite bottle format.

Noted. Not really sure if BBT will be available on draft just yet (unless that was announced in the BBT packaged announcement - I just read until I figured out how to buy the package.)

I do plan on heading over early, but was hoping to do a long run on the Katy Trail before hitting St. Louis. We'll see how things play out.

I am 99.99% sure that during every BBT pickup there is BBT on draft.

This is correct. From the BBT blog release details:

    • Side Project Beer : Barrel : Time 2021 will also be available for on-site enjoyment (on draft or in on-site bottles) at Side Project Brewing and The Side Project Cellar every pick up day!
    • We will have some fun beers available throughout the 3-week pick-up period at both locations!

Does anyone know when might be the least busy time to just pick up BBT bottles? My sister in law is going to be picking it up for me next weekend and I'd like to send her at a less busy time if possible.
