The times I've gone to pick up bottles, there was less crowd later in the day. The die-hards show up early for the best on-site bottles. By end of the day/closer to closing time, there wasn't much in the way of waiting for bottles or for drinking whatever is left on-site.

Yesterday was great. Split a Tete three ways, did the vertical, then did another BBT5 and 3 when they tapped another keg of 3. Hats off to the staff for getting beers to people so quickly. As a former bartender I’m always impressed with how smoothly they run on these crazy days.

 

haven’t had 21 yet and while 18 is probably the best BBT out of the gate, 19’s consistency every time i’ve had it and it’s more prominent barrel definitely make it my favorite of the BBTs. but they’re all great. even 17 hit a nice sweet spot 3-4 months after the initial release.

 

How do you know that you're spoiled on STL beer? When you have so many BBTs so frequently that you can say something like this, and it's honest.

 

I don't think there is any reason to get there early, unless you want to guarantee yourself one of the "fun beers" they refer to in the announcement. I remember 2-years ago they had DB derivation, but that lasted for a while. Most people will be at the brewery picking up bottles, but the veteran move is to drink at the cellar if BBT is there and pickup bottles at the brewery. If you are going alone the best thing to do is walk around before you sit and ask if people want to split some bottles. If yes, then you have a seat and share buddies. Cheers!

I am really surprised they released this week. Would have thought with it being Anni, they would wait until another week, since people that are there today have likely been there at least one other day this week. Figured this would be one of the other special features for the future BBT weeks.

 

I just walked by to go eat and the line looked to be 75-100 at 9:30.

Beer nerds are crazy. Given everything that has been online…pretty sure I could go without this one for a 3+ hour wait in cold temps on a sat morning. Yuck.

 

If anyone gets a peek at the pricing or bottle format (750 or 500), could you post it here?

it’s a 750mL. they replied to someone on ig. minimum 60 bones is my best guess. wouldn’t be surprised if it was $75
