I would agree that Eclipse is not as thick and oily as some stouts. But I wouldn't necessarily conclude that means it's of lesser quality. Todd Asheman is a very accomplished brewer and knew what result he wanted. I sometimes prefer a chunky black boozy malt bomb but also enjoy the less syrupy brew in Eclipse at times. Much like a Pinot Noir vs a big Cabernet Sauvignon.

I want to know how posting an offering on a trading board in any way compares to being forcibly violated. How posting an offer on a trading board hurts anyone. Can any of you people explain that to me?

Can't we all agree that it's a bit easier to just show up at a brewery party to buy beers than deal with the uncertainty of where/when stores will get their single case of Cherry Rye before selling out in 45 minutes? Here's a list of beers much more easily obtained than Cherry Rye this year (and King Henry for that matter):

Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord - all I had to do was click buttons on the internet to get tickets, get drunk in line, and be lucky enough to score a winning lotto ticket
Barrel Aged Speedway Stout - click buttons on internet, proxy in SD
BB Pt5 - show up in line on a day, party in line, buy beers
Fou Foune - click buttons on internet
Black Tuesday - click buttons on internet
BA 9000 - drive to Kalamazoo, the only place that sells it, buy bottles

It's much easier to just be at a single place on a single day.

If you want to apologize for being a complete ass I might consider accepting it.

It would have taken you 5 minutes tops to check my profile, maybe go to one of the other sites I trade on, check some references but nope instant pitchfork grabbing. FWIW, I don't see how what you did was any better than trolling.

This all started with me posting that you would regret that post if you ever planned on trading again. Then you started getting into it with 10 other people and quoted my post. I have not changed my opinion.

depends on the size of the release.... that's way too variable. but since when is 'ease of obtainability' the major determinant in trade value? (although, in a very rough sense, it should be. but it's not.)

those all seem to be easier than king henry or cherry rye.

now, which beers on that list trade for king henry or cherry rye?
