Got two mystery bags yesterday. Lounge and Sword of Jovan were the two bottles.

That makes a lot of sense because I proxied for 5 people so we had 8 total packs & pulled:
    8 ASB
    8 Chemtrail
    0 Handjee

I tried to make it super simple having a paper with all 6 names & order numbers with # of packs for each one & also tipped because it was cold & shitty out at 2pm when I was there

Pretty pissed that they mismanaged it that badly....that's Kuhnhenn level planning.

Did the mystery pack & pulled a Pierre's Javelin
**edit** Also no Crushing Mass when I went

Damn, if you posted earlier and I saw they were releasing Lounge I’d have taken a shot on the mystery bag.

I suspect the packaging of bags is like the lines where some workers are faster than others. maybe the people doing the Chemtrail/ASB bags were much faster at loading the bags from the pallets the vanilla folks and so it skewed. I doubt anyone would go open another pallet of vanilla and remove already packed bottles of chem or ASB just to even things out.

Long day yesterday with other pickups. My apologies. Pretty sure they’re releasing all of them from last year in those ? bags though. Have seen at least one of each from 2020 either on BA or FB groups.

I think you are the 1st to report getting one in this forum.

I might be an outlier but got there around 10:44 this am, got through by 11:10 and got 1 ctm, 2HJs and an adult.

The icing on the cake was pulling a FVM in my mystery bag. I like FVM just fine, but I think I’ve gotten one in every bag I could get one in over the course of the last 2 years.

My brothers and I picked up our allocations late Friday. 6 total with 5 being 2021 and 1 a 2020
    2021’s
    5 ASB
    3 Handjee
    2 chemtrailmix

    2020
    chemtrailmix
    Hellaboozie

At the merch tent we picked up 2 mystery packs
    My rod my comfort
    Pierre’s javelin

Seems to me the less desirable variants were at the merch tent while the preferred and best were sold online in the 2020 packages.

As for the people complaining Handjee running out. They very well could have had equal or near equal allocated for each pick up day and just had them handed out sooner than later. It’s all speculation and no facts. I realize the beer community thrives on speculation, but come on. Chemtrailmix and Handjee. Can’t really go wrong either way. Cheers to DLD getting back to roots! PS I really dug the metal playing at the merch tent.

I don’t have a dog in this fight bc I got some, but the #2 rated beer in the world and highest demand beer from a brewery for the past 10+ years coming up as zeroes at the end of a pick up window with equal variant bottle counts makes no sense. And “maybe the Handjee allocator was faster than the CTM allocator” or of all the combinations possible perhaps miraculously “the Handjee got handed out sooner” is insane. Basic statistics would say that if allocated appropriately you would have a significantly high probability of getting Handjee if you bought 2 packages. So them running out is shady AF, period. AND, I wouldn’t be pleased.

I too have no dog in the fight, but do know a couple people that tried, and one in particular was really hoping to finally try handjee, but he went “too late” based on the posts above. I did not get a package, but if I had I was going to have him proxy, which means I too would have missed out just due to whatever nonsense is going on.

Like you, and some of the posts above, the probability of them having run out so early by pure luck alone is so improbable that it is pretty much not worth considering. It’s be like flipping a coin and getting a run of like 500 heads (or tails). For anyone that truly disagrees, do that binomial and see what the probability is.

When we picked our bags up they pulled bags from both trailers. 3 bags from one all contained Handjee and 2 bags from the other both containing chemtrailmix. We were the only ones in line and actually chatted with the people loading bags. I’m not defending them, but it’s quite possible whatever line filled up got whatever that trailer had and it seemed while we were there they had both those beers in different trailers. Handjee was in the trailer closest to the road everyone pulled in on and chemtrailmix in the other. Maybe Handjee was mostly in that closest trailer and naturally had more people in it than the further one since it was closer and ran out sooner? Pure speculation, but isn’t that what the beer community does? Haha…. See what I did there? It sucks for those not getting Handjee, but no matter how their system was there will always be someone unhappy.

Do you remember which trailer was which? We picked up from the right trailer yesterday and had Handjee in all four bags we picked up for us and proxies.

We picked up from the left where we got the 3 Handjee bags. The other 2 from the right had the chemtrailmix bags. I guess based on what you’re saying that shoots my theory out of the water.

It may or may not have been shady, but even best case, it's a massive logistical F-up. If you told me I would have a 0% chance at a Handjee when I ordered, I definitely would not have bought 2 bags.

Yes it does, and my point is - you know what the most coveted beer of the release is and not to have a handle on distribution and have it “be all out” by noon when allocations should have statistically been evenly distributed is bullshit. So you have groups of people buying / proxying multiple packages to get zero of the top beer is inexcusable. Like my buddy @Beer_Economicus said above its statistically impossible unless there was some serious tomfoolery and ballyhoo ….

Bingo. Me either. And me and another guy pooled - so 4 packages. We picked up early and got them, but I would be furious if neither of us did and it was because they “ran out” when they’re supposed to be same bottle count, evenly allocated, blind bags.
