People spending a ton of hard earned dollars and potentially driving hundreds of miles to get a beer that they should have a 33% chance of getting in one package, and close to a 100% chance of getting if they get two packages being “all gone” at noon is bullshit. No? I don’t know this thread at all or the history but come on who wouldn’t be upset?!?

And if it’s “just beer” I’ll trade you an Adult Sized Beverage for your Handjee …

They missed an opportunity with the naming of Adult Sized Beverage. By name alone, it should be a BA Malt Liquor.

The thread always turns into a shit show basically from what I’ve read.

either way, as far as the running out of handjee goes. Again I as well don’t have a dog in the fight. I bought Thursday and got a handjee. It’s not FFFs job to hold on to handjee until the end of the day Sunday to make people happy. It’s their job to sell the beer. Who knows what their allocations were 750 of each every day and gave out 750 in the early hours of handjee because people kept asking for it. Maybe they gave out 2700 the first 3 days and had only 300 left who knows. They didn’t promise everyone a handjee and specifically stated that you will get 2 different variants per package and may get the same variant or variants if you buy 2 packages. That’s the risk you take when you buy a random allotment.

is that a shitty, maybe again I don’t know how busy it was between 11-150(if that’s when they really sold out) vs what they allocated the other days. But what I do know is that FFF did not do anything unethical they just did what they specifically stated they were going to do. Give you 1 or 2 randomly created dark lord packages which will contain 2 different variants of which both packages may contain the same variants.

Like I said before, there’s a pretty big distance between “not being unethical” and “good customer service.”

I doubt you would feel the same if FFF ran out of their allocated Handjee Thursday morning because they were holding it back for the Sunday people.

Yeah, you hit it on the head. Paying for a 0% chance is straight up horse$#!+. I got 3 bags and just wanted 2 of each, what I ended up with was 3 & 3 and Zero Handjees. I agree that it is very bad customer service to do this. I mean, it's floyds, so they are going to find a way to wreck it. Very disappointed. I also want my tip back. The floyds associates also weren't even apologetic, which made it seem like more of a FU.

My 2020 was Rarri & HellaBoozie, I also asked to trade those out and they told me that's all we have left, so anyone coming after 3:30pm would only that 2020 bag.

Just a bad experience and very disappointed in floyds. There is no way that should have happened.

I'm willing to bet they didn't actually run out that early, the employees were probably just sick of people asking to trade their beers out.

yeah, since when is that acceptable? i’ve never heard of that being a thing… i know way back when they would let you choose and so everyone went for group A but they also did away with that in like 17 or 18.

I definitely heard about people doing it last year if they got 3-4 bags which were all identical. I felt it was reasonable since it usually wasn't "I want a better variant" and more "You've got 8 variants, can I get some variety?" Still applies a bit with just 3 variants but obviously less than last year.

This year I got 2 2021 bags and I don't think I'd be too upset if I got 2 CTM & 2 ASB since that seems statistically reasonable and a possibility I considered when buying but if you're getting 3 or more bags and there isn't a HJ I understand being a bit pissed. To be clear, I'd be a bit annoyed regardless of which variant it was I missed out on, but I understand I've been blessed to have HJ and CTM more times than most.

Thinking back I was quite pissed when both my wife & I got vintage bottles instead of a variant whatever year that was and that was a 4% chance or something like that? The chance of 2 identical bags is 33% this year, although I suppose if you're talking missing out on HJ that's 11% if my lazy math is right. #statisticsadvocate

I'm fairly certain they did not run out of Handjee actually. As people who showed up 2 hours later were getting Handjess (Like 3-4pm on Sunday). Saw this posted on Facebook people who went hours after they were reportedly "out of Handjee"

I think they just didn't have the totes randomized in the truck very good and there was a huge block of CTM + ASB totes that covered a few hours on Sunday. Eventually they made it back to some Handjees again and likely didn't want to go searching in the back of the truck or the warehouse for Handjee totes when people complained.

If that is true, then that's even worse than just running out. Lying and telling people they are gone, when they just need to bring more down is ridiculous. Still, they had probably 100-200 totes on that table, and they assured me that they were all just CTM & ASB. I was told repeatedly both at the pick up area and the merch tent that they were indeed out of Handjees. I kept asking, because I could not believe it. Just a very bad look for Floyds on this.

And there is a big distance between being a good customer and a bad one. FFF delivered on what they promised on their DLD home page. Did you not get two different variants of the three they promised? Do you call the state lottery and complain when you don't win the jackpot?

I mean, they did limit you to two packages so if you feel slighted, maybe you wouldn't feel as bad if you didn't take advantage of the system by getting three? Blows my mind that people enter a random bottle release and complain they weren't given exactly what they wanted. That isn't how random works.

Who was lying? If they didn't have them on the truck they were indeed out of them until they were replenished. As mentioned in an earlier post, what would you have them do? Stop the distribution and back-up traffic while they spend 30 minutes getting more Handjee to the trucks? Seems kind of self centered to inconvenience everyone that way.

Based on the posts here, I'd tell the angry, pushy neckbeard mob the same thing just to get them to go away if I were FFF. If they said they had more, then what? Would you have expected them to swap them out for you? Doesn't seem very random, and one would argue unfair to anyone who might not get a Handjee later because you were able to trade one in.

You guys can say it is a bad look all you want, but the 3,000 people with Handjees probably would disagree.

The entitlement in this thread is top notch. I can’t believe dude had the gall to drive back through the line and ask to swap.

I flipped this coin twice and it was heads both times! This coin is bullshit!
