I noticed Rev posted that pickups are only Friday and Saturday. Ill be in town Sunday for my prop allocation. Is that typically firm or will they hold them longer?

Email them - should have a contact in your email. They're a very accommodating bunch there.

Thanks. Just as a backup is the proxy process pretty easy? Or would I have to list one at the time of purchase? Thinking if I could have anyone do it without naming them up front I could find someone to do it from the board or something.

You are supposed to list the proxy at the time of purchase. But they'll probably be fine with you picking up Sunday. If you ultimately have to go the proxy route, I'd recommend getting a name, then emailing them.

I can't say enough good things about Rev's customer service. I'll be shocked if you have any other experience.

I cannot for the life of me find it right now, but I remember reading somewhere that this year they will hold the order for 10 days at the tap room for pick up.

Having my first Cafe Deth of the year while doing some work tonight. (Shoutout to @mbockstruck30 for this glass. It'll never go away.)

Honestly, I really think within each of their respective categories that Cafe is a better beer than DT. Do I enjoy it more? i dunno. Cafe has a lot more barrel than I remember - not so much on the front end, but on the back. You get that warmness and slight burn much like with whiskey, and it's something that you only get with a BA beer, never with a non-BA. I will say, while I think this is overall an improvement, there's a day-old coffee ground char-type bitterness that I'm not digging. Like, at all. This is much akin and in the same vein as the pepper that people get from Coffee stouts. I'm not sure if it is "too fresh," or what, but...I'm not having it.

Also, I know this plagues all coffee stouts, or pretty much all, but...Man, I'm shocked at how much thinner this is than DT.

Okay - What the hell have you been waiting for!?! ... LOL!
I admire your recent post in all threads - nice job. Did I see that you have a kid now? Be careful with those late-night stouts. You'll think the kid is sleeping well and you'll have a couple beers one night, and it will be THAT night the kid wakes up at 2am needing you. (ugh!)
Why is Cafe Deth so much thinner than regular DT? Hmmm...something I'll ask Marty at Rev since he's bound to have a very scientific answer.
I found Crushing Mass to be pretty awesome tonight - HUGE coffee!

Thanks for the kind words.

Yep, 21mo old daughter. Love her, and try to give her as much time and attention as possible. With some very limited exceptions, I haven't really purchased any beer from about May 2019 till about 45 days ago. Money is still tight, but I've saved up a little, and certainly haven't been drinking much since she was born, and definitely not buying much. So, I kinda went for it with a couple things recently, like the Benthic package. Really love coconut, and really wanted to land it. -And, thankfully, I did. As much as I'd love to have a 4-pack or more all the Rev beers, it's quickly getting down to the, 'let's do the math'. I'm thinking that I'm going to only try to pursue 2-3 cans of Vanilla, and maybe 2 cans of Blackberry Fin.

You're definitely right about her waking up at anytime of night. I never have anything until she goes to bed for a few reasons, but one of those to try to gauge how the night will go. Sometimes you just expect bad nights. I try, in general, to not have anything too fast, so I can be aware of what's going on should something come up. -And, most nights I only have 1 of something. Not always true though. I've worked a lot this year, and over the past couple months I have been drinking more, which means a few nights I have certainly drank a bit too much. Being needed first thing in the AM is a good tool to sober you up, though, and to keep you from ever having tooooooo much.

Since the public presale is in the AM (OK, not that far away), I guess I'll go ahead and say this now:

If anyone wants to go in on a package, let me know. I wouldn't mind 2-3 Vanilla and 2 Finn, but I'd settle for 1 or each if you just don't want quite 1 four-pack.

I haven't payed attention to any details they've posted on social media for this release, but my order receipt from yesterday does say they will hold orders for 10 days. For past events, you've been able to pick up inside the taproom when they don't have curbside set up.

Appreciate it, but I can't make it to Chicago :grimacing:. Otherwise I'd be happy to. Hoping someone that is/can pickup ends up needing to split.
