[IMG] Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup features a Lagunitas Battle! (All 3 out of 3 pairs correctly matched blind)

    1) Pryes Pragmatic Pils (4.2%):
A Czech Pilsner from Minnesota that has flavors of dry grains, lemon, with some salt and yeast notes. Drinks fairly clean.
    versus
    2) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech-style pilsner from Minnesota that bready and salty flavors with a twist of American Citrus. Drinks full and slightly sweeter.

    3) Odell Oktoberfest (6.1%): A Marzen-style Oktoberfest from Colorado that has flavors of sweet toasted biscuit with some cloying syrup or liquor bite to it. Alcoholic and sickly sweet.
    versus
    4) Founder’s Oktoberfest (6.0%): A Marzen-style ale from Michigan that has flavors of toasted bread malts with some smooth honey citrus and toasted caramel malts. .

    5) Lagunitas Stereohopic V2 IPA (7.2%): An IPA from California brewed with Elixir and loral hops for flavors of blood orange/tangerine/grapefruit citrus with some earthy peach notes.
    versus
    6) Lagunitas Stereohopic V3 (7.2%): An IPA from California that is brewed with Citra and Nectaron hops for flavors of pineapple and grapefruit citrus before a pear and peach flavor predominates. A classic Lagunitas yeast for the malty finish.

    Winners:

    1) Bahaus Wonderstuff:
This one has nice bready Czech flavors with some mild citrus zest. Full, bready, and smooth. Very salty and bready. Drinks well anytime. One of my favorites.

    4) Founder's Oktoberfest: Both of these Oktoberfests leans malty and somewhat sweet, but this one has more toasted malt and flavor. Odell was sickly sweet and alcoholic.

    6) Lagunitas Stereohopic V3: This one was better than the V2 version with more pineapple, peach, and pear (granted it's also fresher than V2). Still, I never was a fan of the V2.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you tried Odell Oktoberfest or Founder's Oktoberfest, and which did you prefer? Agree with the rating?
Have you tried Lagunitas Stereohopic series and which have been your favorite of Stereohopic V1, V2, or V3?

I am now enjoying an Infinite MMM...OSA from Equilibrium and 3 Sons Brewing, I guess they worked together on this one, It came out really good, a little "stuff" floating in it, but really tasty!

Last night before heading up to the Great White North for 10 days. I look forward to visiting some breweries in Alberta and sharing many new beers with my brothers (haven't seen them in a LONG time). Kicking things off with this great beer from @FBarber! @snaotheus should be cracking the same one soon???? Cheers!

That was the first album that I ever owned. Got it as a birthday gift. The first album that I bought with my own hard earned money was also a Glen Campbell album, Galveston.

Covert Artisan Caruba La Tarta Fruited Sour, 5% ABV. Pours moderately thick and hazy pale yellow with no head. Nose is sour and faint vague fruit. Taste is sourness, and then no other flavor until the faint banana and graham aftertaste. Couldn't detect the other add-junks; passion fruit, coconut, or marshmallow. Decent mouthfeel, overall very good. This was a bit disappointing, as if they felt that a sour had to be so sour that it throws shade on the add-junks they bothered to put in there. If they tripled the banana, graham, and marshmallow, that would make it interesting.

Evening. Good news my friend is still on the respirator but his oxygen level is up and his organs seem to be responding. Hes not out of the woods yet but its looking better. There will be a long road to recovery if he makes it.
At this time last year my brother and I were on a speedy trip from Maine to RI and on down to Wilmington NC. We were trying to get to see my Dad who was fading quickly and we wanted to be able to see him before he lost consciousness or passed. Unfortunately we didnt make it. By the time we arrived he was in hospice and unresponsive. I really hope he heard us tell him how much we loved him.
He left us a year ago this Saturday a little before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately
@JayORear went through the same thing just days before and I know he said he was close to his dad.
So fuck it Im having a beer. You never know when your time will come. Im sure we will be sharing memories of our Dads over the next few days.
Cheers to our Dads and memories Jay.
    Peace.[IMG]
