I came in from Chicago, and it was easier for me to try both Eunoia’s from phase three. They were excellent.

My first time having Voodoo Black Magick, and it was exceptional. 27 month aged, and incredibly smooth.

I thought the Handjee was good but doesn’t really stand out in a world where there are a lot of good BA stouts.

my other two standouts would be Term Oil 7 from TG, and the Medianoche cheesecake from Weldwerks. Wish I could comment on a bunch of other stuff, but I was trying to walk out of there without being hammered (I succeeded).

Crowd was good too, some rooms would be more cramped but there was always somewhere to post up with some space.

The PA with the wrestling was obnoxiously loud, just my opinion. I get it, I get it: it’s wrestling but I’m almost yelling when I’m talking to my buddies.

Really enjoyed Pastrytown. The largest, most crowded thing I've done since covid. It was easy to get around. There were some lines for the timed pours, but overall I never waited more than a few min for a beer - and most booths had no line whatsoever. Mortalis must have kicked everything within 30 minutes, which was super disappointing. Very few breweries kicked everything they brought.

Also, Suarez was pouring Palatine was a life saver.

They had a lager row! Three breweries pouring lagers.

Pear Leto by Mortalis was the winner in my opinion. Jeez it was good...flavorful, balanced, delicious. Except for their time bomb, Mortalis was out of beer just a little after GA started, which is a bit odd. But since I got to try everything they offered and it was incredible, I give them a pass.

Term Oil Fluffernutter (TG), Cupcake (AC), Summer of Stouts (Southern Grist), Eunoia 7 (P3, Cremeux (Moksa) were wonderful. I missed out on BA LADS, but I'm sure it was great.

The pour I had of Black Magick was watery and plain. If you think this doesn't make sense, I'm with you. But mine was off. I expected a little more from DB Whale Rider (Weathered Souls), and Horus and J. Wakefield were underwhelming. They always rate well on Untappd, but maybe suffer from artificial inflation because I'm always kinda "eh" with JW and Horus. As others side Handjee was fine, but I think it benefits from the name and past success (when they were unique).

Schilling and Suarez were right next to each other, which was awesome. They were labeled the "hydration stations." HAHA. Made like 5 trips there.

Also, all the BA stouts were poured really cold (40 degrees F in my estimation). I'm sure this is typical of fests, but it is also kinda confusing because many of these beers are best in the 55-65 degree range. Given that everyone is basically drinking the pours almost immediately, I don't really understand this. Why put so much effort into a beer that isn't going to fully express itself under the conditions you serve it at?

I didn’t even go to Wakefield…someone brought me a tiny pour of a Bake, but it was like…it tasted like a stout. But I generally just went places with very little wait.

Has anyone tried the Citra Wet Hop IPA? Thoughts? Wasn't there supposed to be another one as well?

It was fine, worth getting if you're at OH DP but not worth making a trip out there to try it.

Visited Centre Street earlier, Wet Hop on tap, very nice- more refreshing, zippy I think than comparable DDH single IPA?

Also Resident stout seriously syrupy, stick with the 4oz. Nice coffee finish, minimal barrel though.

Last can of space ghost while watching the buckeyes (unfortunately) do terrible things to the Spartans

While more muted, I’m really enjoying the beer. The nose still has some great, overripe tropical fruit character - swallow delivers, mix of mango/pineapple/citrus. A bit of that bite toward the finish remains, but significantly less vs. my first can. Lacing is excellent; abv is warming but works and doesn’t make for a boozy sip. Cheers all!

Did they stop doing local bike delivery? I have been trying on and off for a week but it is never an option on their site.

There's still a note that says:
but there is no option to do that...

I saw them doing bike deliveries when I was there a few weeks ago. Not sure if anything has changed.
