Yeah, you know it. Prior to a run, wanted to check in here and wish everyone a great couple of days, and a Happy Thanksgiving!
Lamb braising is on the docket for today, and I roast it for the final day tomorrow. ALL of my family is in the house and stealing moments to come online has been... challenging to say the least.

Good morning BAs! Thanks to @Ozzylizard for opening the virtual bar today. The dogs woke me at 6:30 (about sunrise here) and they have been walked and fed…coffee time - DFH’s BBA World Wide Stout:



Bottled 11/1/19. Aged in Heaven Hill barrels. Poured at 53°. My third tasting, imbibing 2/20 & 11/20…and it’s getting better!

Poured at 53°. Black with ruby edges; popping mixed tan bubbles renders a quick cap with fleeting small islands, solid ring and some sudsy lace on agitation; heavy legs. Nose is sweet bourbon and dark chocolate; some char as beer warms; boozy retro nasal. Sweet bourbon and chocolate entry; alcohol; charred oak; some bitterness on backend (hops? barrel?) but subtle; finish is bourbon, caramel, roast coffee. Grainy, dry tongue coating; medium plus body; face flushing warmth from 18% abv; phenolic bite on tip of tongue; light carbonation. Overall, an excellent boozy over the top BBA Stout which drinks better with 2 years aged; the alcohol heat has backed off a bit and the whole is not as hot as fresher; now, the chocolate, bourbon and barrel char compete evenly with the boozy linger…I like!

My score from 1 year ago Nov. 2020 was the same except for the appearance which I raised in this current review… fun stuff … I have 1 more bottle and a non BA WWS I’m saving for a side by side,maybe this time next year.

Another really nice IIPA in Great Lakes Imperial IPA series. Now I get to start messing with tomorrow's turkey.
