Well... AB says Shock Top uses " Barley Malt" and "Wheat Malt" and, while Molson Coors' pdf just says "Wheat", IIRC in previous articles Coors' brewers have said Blue Moon is brewed with "white wheat malt", so, going by the actual industry definition of Adjunct* which say "non-malted/unmalted", those aren't what most would consider "adjunct" beers. Blue Moon does also include a small percentage oats, but, again usually not what is meant by an adjunct beer.

    * i.e., NOT the current erroneous definition used by much of the geekery and even some (under-educated?) brewers who use the term for everything not barley malt, hops or yeast that is added to beer.

I don't get the joke? Blue Moon outsells every beer brewed by a B.A. recognized "craft brewer". OTOH, Shock Top's imagery is kinda weird. What's up with that?

I'm really happy this isn't a thread about spices and flavorings.

Ergo, like so many other "specialty" products coming out of the Genesee brewery, Fifco USA apparently distributes the beer in a much smaller area than their economy flagship brands of Genesee Beer and Cream Ale.

People reference hop released notes of pine. I remember Newark Ballantine ale. It was no notes of. I remember drinking it was like The Great Unus doing a tongue stand on a Christmas tree. At that time I hadn’t yet lost touch with that the object’s to Thalidomide one’s thought balloon, not extended pinky notes of drinking. And Ballantine ale did cost somewhat more. The Black Sox and professional wrestlers are right. Professionals go for the money. For when the One Great Scorer comes To write against your name, He marks not that you won or lost But IF you played the game. And, by the way, He gets 10%.

However for the awhiles you have enoughs for, notes of are nice additions. One of my temporary times of temporary enough, when which way’s up was taken care of by flat earthers and such, and Ballantine was transitioning from Newark to Rhode Island there was a store in Albany, NY where the transition was also taking place. I grabbed the Newarks next to the Rhode Islands until Newarks were no more. Haven’t had believable pine since.

I recall people saying the hop flavor and aroma (via the brewer's use of Brewer's Gold hops and brewery-distilled hop oils) was damn near-hallucinogenic - and flashbacks would plague people for the next half a century. So, things might be getting better soon, since the anniversary is coming up next spring :slight_frown:
