    I think it's brewed at Nya Carnegiebryggeriet, since it's a joint venture between Brooklyn and Carlsberg in Sweden.

    I’ve had a couple of Spencers beers before, and they weren’t bad at all.

    Not in the league of some Belgian Trappist but still alrighty, that was way back when I was buying a variety haul online occasionally.

    Carlsberg are using their Swedish brewery in Falkenberg to produce Brooklyn beers for their European markets.

    Nice, thanks for the reply! I just checked the Nya Carnegiebryggeriet Brewery website and while it would seem logical, they don't brew Brooklyn there. I assume it's a capacity issue.

    "Nya Carnegiebryggeriet is a collaborative joint venture between Carlsberg Sweden and Brooklyn Brewery. Under local Brewmaster Chris Thurgeson, ... Although we don’t brew any Brooklyn Brewery beers at NCB, members of the two brewing teams are constantly criss-crossing the ocean to work together on new beers for you to enjoy."

    Looks like a really nice place to visit.

    Yeah, I imagine brewing and packaging capacity as well as quality control are important factors here, and they might expand or move production within their European network of breweries if it makes business sense.

    In reply to @VABA and @Shanex I believe the Trappist quality label still is OK. It does not mention anything about taste I believe.

    But there definitely is some inflation :slight_smile:
