I am going to go with no based on the label. Joy Ride and Satisfies both depict candy bars. But maybe they forgot that... haa

I’m guessing a “Mallo Cup” candy bar

So is thr3e the same series as f1rst and 2econd? If so, why is this open to reserve? Not upset, quite the opposite, but definitely curious

Same colab brewery which is why the name, but not the same base as the others. It's basically a reengineered Melange 3.

In 2015 I got some bottles of Melange 3 that I think were 2013 (though no date I could see so not positive - they were waxed though). Those were a transcendental experience. When they released it in 2017 it definitely did not live up to what I remembered. Last weekend I opened up a 2015 M3 and, while nicely mellowed and tasty, I just wasn't into the blend. I don't know if that's because my tastes have changed or because the original was indeed better.

Anyway, guess I'm still chasing that dragon, so cautiously optimistic to see how Thr3e turns out!

In other news, I sat on my included bottle of Cherry Chocolate Rain from 2019 and finally opened tonight. The cherry is intense. It's too much for me, but I could see people really digging it. I will say though that it's objectively good cherry flavor - I could legit imagine just taking a bite of cherry pie. I know some cherry beers have an artificial cough syrupy taste, but I don't get that here. It's still got a ton of heat too, but not in a harsh way.

Hope everyone's got something fun lined up for tomorrow - enjoy and be safe!

I love that beer for that exact reason, its my favorite beer the Bruery makes and possibly my favorite beer ever. The cherry is still so strong even among the rye/barrel flavors. Definitely agree on the heat, but I find the 2019 rye version to not be as harsh as the 2018 bourbon version.

Sorry this is probably more salt, but I opened a 2020 Pie Happy and it's still so damn good. The original Hoarder Box version was great, the 2019 release was better, and 2020 was top of the bunch in my opinion. I guess what I'm saying is:

    1. Buy more Pie Happy
    2. Prepare yourself for an improved version of Pecan Make It next year that's available to everyone

Had a Poached Fig over the weekend and it's holding up great. Very enjoyable and a solid price point. Will probably grab a couple if they're in the Christmas sale.

I didn't realize Berry Cherry Chocolate BBLs was hoarders only =( I guess the Reserve email used the wrong picture. I suppose I'll have to wait until January and hope it doesn't sell out in the meantime.

Enjoying the shit out of this OG BA 5 Golden Rings. Only four years until the re-brew
Damn I hope they don't change recipe like with Turtle Doves.

I'm curious what they're going to do with 4 Calling Birds. I REALLY hope they don't change the recipe, the BA version was/is one of my favorite Bruery beers.

This was by far my favorite 12 days of Christmas beer (that non-BA version that is - I haven't had the BA one yet).

It was just spiced, right? I bet they can mimick. I can appreciate with Turtle Doves that the chocolate and nuts were probably too expensive to scale.

Or that they simply didn't have the recipe anymore. I bet there's lots of lost recipes from the beginning.

Should we be worried White Chocolate Warmer isn’t in orders as an included?
