Drinking one of my Session Pils cans from the subscription now. First one. It’s extremely metallic tasting. Anyone ever have an experience like that?

Hoping for a little assistance from a local.

I’m coming up to Brighton from Long Island on Friday. Looks like both Salem lager and zwickel were canned last week but aren’t available at the speedway for takeaway.

Can anyone tell me a convenient place where I can buy these beers?? BeerMenus didn’t tell me anything. I’ll be driving from charlton to Brighton, if that helps.

When I was there on Friday they had the whole available can lineup on the bar. I wished I'd snapped a picture. I'd be shocked if they didn't still have them as I don't necessarily put a ton of faith in the accuracy of the website and how often it's updated. EDIT: Under "Currently on Tap" is says as 11/24/21 and those beers were canned after that. I certainly could be wrong, but it was canned on the 12/1 and I'd be surprised if either sold out already.

Certain beers of theirs do not make it to stores. They are brewery only for the most part.

ok great, thanks. They definitely updated the website because they’ve shown the kolsch and anniversary cans on there since the day they were canned(yes I’m sick and check every day lol) but not the other two, that’s what was throwing me off. All good, I’ll enjoy whatever they have there!

Went to Kölsch night on Monday for the first time.

One of the cooler/most chill "beerfests" you'll ever go to. Well worth it....man those 0.2L Stanges go down fast...

    Nice!

I didn’t want to spill the beans on this. I saw them walking by me with the sign for the tap list for it last week and asked about it.

    Sweet!

Perhaps a situation of 'irony' but I brewed my annual batch of Sticke Altbier today. This is indeed a very tasty beer style which is infrequently available; ergo homebrewing. Yeah!

    Cheers to 'secret' beers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:beers:

Just received December's box, which is my fourth box from the 3 month subscription... Not sure if Notch did that as a courtesy or if it was a mistake, but I choose to believe the former since their service is always top notch (heh).

This selection is way better. 4 Kolsch, 4 Zwickel and 4 Jedenactka. Christmas came early!

Stopped in quickly this afternoon for some takeaway beers. Had a taster of the sticke alt on stichfass. And that is some hoppy, malty, sticky deliciousness. A very warming beer. I will revisit on draft in the next week.

Nice. Likely were in the building at the same time as I arrived shortly after open.

Agreed. Finishing up my glass of it currently.

Agreed, Cerne Pivo is bit more malt forward. Less bitterness.

That being said . . . both are delicious.

Heading to Park Street in Beverly for some cask ales, then swinging through Notch for the Sticke Alt. Gonna be a good day, fuck the rain.
