Probably the best music venue that has the best beer tap list.

Draft variants for this release. Psyched for that Quad

    Sanctuary #12 - Double Barrel X.O.D. - Single Barrel - 17.1%

A pair of leaky Four Roses Bourbon Deth's Tar barrels were combined to fill a single Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel before aging an additional four years. After roughly five years of aging it's emerged with equally heady measures of rich chocolate, American oak, and alcohol.
    Kyle's Not-So-Quiet Quad - Single Barrel - 13.7%
Before departing for Phase Three Brewing, our pal Kyle Damon brewed this traditional Belgian Quadrupel and we socked some away in a single Templeton Rye Caribbean Cask. A rush of dark, dried stone fruit and cherry pit pervade the aroma while the palate is treated to hints of cocoa and rum-infused rye whiskey.
    X.O. Lynott's - Single Barrel - 14.3%
This final Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel of OG Jamo-nilla base has spent five years in our stacks. Rich, silky chocolate notes erupt through a lattice of caramel and American oak.

    Nice #humblebrag

I can't believe they still have jamo-nilla base beer laying around ... I'm excited for this one though.

List looks great. Quad looks exciting, especially with that cask.

Question for anyone that is an insider. Any idea how they make all these one offs work where they only have a barrel? Seems expensive to just get a single barrel from time to time. The logistics just seem like a nightmare. Maybe that’s all the more reasons to give them props.

This is a good write-up of their approach to some of these one offs:

It’s crazy that you can buy 10 different deep woods releases online right now and pick them up curbside this weekend. Rev is too good to us.

I've noticed that it recommends storing many of the Deep Wood beers cold - "Enjoy now or store cold." It's listed on all releases except for Deth's Tar itself. Are they just covering their bases, or is there a legitiment reason to store cold? Frankly I don't have enough room in my fridge to store all of them cold

FWIW I consider the 50-60* cellar temps to be cold...

Revolution has said the because the beer is ready to drink now / fresh and they don't recommend aging it.

Things degrade slower in cooler temperatures. If I paying $10 a can for beer I’m going to keep it in the fridge.

I'm not trying to age it, just want to enjoy them over the winter months without it taking up room in the fridge. Thought it was interesting they mentioned storing all of them cold except the base. I guess the basement will do..

I also think there's also the whole "we don't know what a lined aluminum can does to beer over 2, 3, 4, etc years".

Is it year 4 or 5 of DW being canned? Someone should have some results by now…or maybe they buried the findings!!!

This is year 5 of Deep Wood cans after they started canning them in the fall of 2017.
Great point by @Jplachy - how long can high gravity, barrel aged beer stay good in a lined aluminum can? Mine have never stuck around long enough for me to judge.

I'd also like to amend what I said a bit "at cellar temps especially". I keep all my Deep Woods cans in the fridge. I don't think I would ever "cellar" a canned beer.

The 2017 lineup was the first year they moved to cans - so this is the 5th year they've done this. I am sure there are a few cans out there (in my basement) from 2017 to the present so someone could do a side-by-side.

It's a helluva lot more safe than bottled beer.

I mean I'm all for drinking fresh, I crack a can as soon as I get one, but not everyone has fridge space for four 4-packs of barrel aged barleywine, on top of any hops they're trying to keep fresh, plus all the actual sustenance that the fridge is for.

It's under 50* in my basement now, and will be probably until March or April. I literally drink my beer at cellar temp throughout winter, it's actually perfect.
