The Holidays call for ridiculous

Good beers call for ridiculous pairings

 

Champagne and chili! A pleasant smoke taste coupled with medium heat and spice. The balance of flavors is just what I was hoping for.

 

Agree, but every time I've heard it since 1986 I think of the scene with Maverick and Goose in Top Gun. Cheers!

 

My last beer tonight is Wolfe's Neck IPA from a Maine brewery. It's a really nice IPA.

Very enjoyable beer and glass courtesy of @BBThunderbolt. A dank, earthy, and subtly fruity IPA. Really enjoy the mouthfeel and aftertaste on this one.

A mere twelve hour workday today has left me too much time for beer...

I think this may be my desert island beer. 7.5%, not too sweet, not too dry, delicious in any climate.

It is an awesome beer! I picked up two bottles of Maine Woods & Waters today. Just as good as Wolfe’s Neck. I was going to buy all five that were left but that would not be fair to folks that have a hard time finding Maine IPAs/pale ales in Richmond.
