Is this a friendly thread about Tree House or a Tree House thread about Friendly's?

    I'll be here all week!

I miss the days of waiting hours outside for a few growlers to be filled!!!!!

Tree Of Bliss is delicious, worth the money. Not at all a traditional Barleywine with all its coffee forward flavor, but it's still got lovely fruity and malty notes for balance. Highly recommend

I look back on them fondly, but can't say I miss it. That being said, I would love growler fills to come back but I have a feeling those are going the way of the dodo bird.

Tremendous first visit to Tree House yesterday. Kind of embarrassing I haven't been, as I only live 70 minutes away. Part of the reason is I've been a Trillium guy for a number of years (mainly due to the 30 min drive to Canton)..but honestly I think Trillium's gone way downhill in quality over the last 3 or 4 years. Hop burn galore.

Anyway - What a great operation! I love the mixed cases - I never buy cases but easily made an exception here. I ended up with JJJulius, King Julius, King JJJulius, Juice Machine (I haven't had any of these!) etc. Beyond excited to try over the next couple weeks.

While there, had Very Hazy Peach, Quadruple shot banana/coconut/vanilla, and Doubleganger. The quadruple shot was amazing, vicious as hell, but I probably wouldn't have again unless in a small dose. The other 2 I could drink all day.

I live the same distance away from the Sandwich location, but I think I'll stick to Charlton for now. A religious experience overall (ha).

I've honestly never really been a Trillium guy. I went once and wasn't impressed. Like you said, hop burn galore. TH strikes a much better balance most of the time. Also I recommend visiting the Sandwich location as well, it's a different vibe being right on the water but I like it there

The hop burn wasn’t always like that. But boy it is now…

Ugh, Brewdog, I just don't get it. They are taking over all kinds of spaces here in Ohio too.

Agree - I don't get it with BrewDog - the only one I've been to was in Florence Italy, as it was walking distance to my hotel and I didn't have a car. Felt like I was in a 1980s punk bar (which was fine, but bizarre given the location)

Fake punk lol, I don't think BrewDog has a clue what punk actually stands for

I thought Nascent Truth was very solid, 4.75/5. Tree of Bliss I thought was ok, I think I prefer Tree of Life though, the barrel blended bw. Interested to see how Mint Brownie is.

Drove through the Sturbridge area on Tuesday and decided to swing by Tree House for the first time. Holy shit. That is quite the operation. Beautiful space for sure. I grabbed a 24 pack of all sorts of stuff (mainly their lagers, though I did grab a four pack of Julius). In retrospect, I probably should have gotten more of everything (though I'm actually not that big on the Julius. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, just not a style I tend to reach for, so I fear it might be a while before I get a craving for a big juciy IPA).

BrewDog is one of those companies that you should actively be discouraging other people from drinking. From the fake image, the hilariously worthless equity issue, to the much more serious stealing of marketing ideas/material and abuse of employees, BrewDog, and especially James Watt, are not to be supported.

BrewDog is to craft beer As Avril Levine was to Punk Rock.

Stole literally everything, faked the image and made money because the general public en masse, is dumb.
