    Hello again to all Advocates,
unfortunately I was very absent due to serious (heart) health problems in my family and all priorities and the use of the time available have changed.
However, since the day before yesterday the situation is better and we are all together again, for now everything that needs to be done has been done and the reactions have been good.
Now we need to have respect for the situation, but also to be optimistic about the readiness of the recovery that has taken place and which was absolutely not taken for granted.
Anyway, last night I felt in the moral condition to be able to enjoy a new beer and I opened a can of

Rebel's Brewery (Roma, ITA) - REAL MAN NEVER CRY - Imperial Stout (9%)

40 cl can taken directly from the brewery some time ago.
    "Best before: 12/2022 (Lot 59/20)".
Rebels is a local brewery that has grown a lot in quality over time and now enjoys a fair amount of consideration on a national level as well.
This Coffee Imperial Stout on the nose offers aromas of coffee and dark chocolate.
In color it is impenetrable black, no reflection that distances from absolute black.
Abundant beige-colored foam, spectacular to see as it descends (Nitro effect). Soft and that does not disappear completely.
In the mouth soft, slightly sweet entry, then space for notes of espresso and aftertaste notes of dark chocolate that give a touch of bitterness to end the drink.
Full body, but not excessively dense.
Obviously, as the temperature of the beer in the glass fades, the alcoholic note comes out a little, as well as a hint of licorice in the "muffled" finish (probably from the oats used).
Imperial stout which is basically sweet and coffee (not so much toasted, but just the espresso coffee), with a nice full body but which with oats and that slightly bitter note of dark chocolate try to mask a drink that is in any case complex or in any case not trivial.
Imperial Stout not unforgettable, but balanced and satisfying.

I hope to have the opportunity to return to participate more often because it would mean that everything is fine.
In the meantime, I wish you happy holidays and good beers to everyone!
    Sláinte !
    Cheers !

Good day BAs! Today started the same as yesterday, except for some clouds - it's supposed to rain later today. Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

after stripping the attached url. This is from @Roy_Hobbs and is a wild ale aged in oak and on nasturtiums. Since I've never eaten nasturtiums I don't know what I should be tasting - the tannic acid from the oak is quite evident. Thanks Ross - I can tick another brewery! Rating 3.24, rDev -18.2%.

Thanks @Jack_14 for starting today's thread! Sorry to hear about the cardiac problems, happy to hear they're better. Always happy to read one of your posts!

Good day, currently drinking my first beer of the week. So that’s about three days being sober. Nice. How good this Brooklyn Defender IPA feels now:

Everyone should enjoy one beer a day, but also drink in moderation. I'll test the later premise later this evening when I join former co-workers for some drinks after they are done working.

In the interim, I am enjoying this nice beverage before taking a nap (had to wake up early for a roof inspection) and then starting my day in earnest.

Colt 45 Malt Liquor, loaded with dynamite taste

I've noticed I become more salt sensitive since cutting out most salt / going with reduced salt options. This is the first time I noticed it with the Colt 45s (the previous ones seemed fine), but have especially noticed this with Pilsners.

Robert Plant's first live Fool in the Rain performance, in Chicago, with Pearl Jam.

Hoping to stay dry in Chicago today.

Stayed up late last night drinking IPAs and watching TV with my brother…slept long and deep…having breakfast for lunch today - Untitled Art/Angry Chair’s “BA Fully Loaded French Toast”:

Canned 11/12/21. Purchased at Angry Chair Brewing. A collab with Untitled Art. Poured at 57°. Smells and tastes just like French Toast! Maple syrup and cinnamon; chocolate as the beer warms; milk chocolate and vanilla on the backend. Thin for AC, but it is a collab. Little warmth or booziness from 13.5%. A very tasty and easy drinking pastry stout.

I’ve got a bottle share lined up this evening with friends I made over the summer. Always good fun, and good beers. Have a wonderful Wednesday y’all, and Cheers!
