Good morning advocates! Is it Friday yet? Nah, it isn’t but just got back from early errands for a friends birthday at my place tomorrow evening.

So I am drinking SNAPPY, cheers all!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread - you can't go wrong with a SN pale ale for breakfast, lunch, or dinner or even with food!
Off to another day here - rained intermittently yesterday but it all blew away overnight - forecast today is more rain, but right now it's sunny and clear.
Today's New Breakfast Beer is from @Roy_Hobbs in NBS BIF #14:

Rating 3.24, rDev -27.4%. To me it seems like every other Farmhouse/saison/wild ale not based on a particular fruit. Glad I got to try it (thanks Ross!) but not one I'll seek.

@Ozzylizard Cheers, Whatever the time of the day is always good for SNPA.

Also true of Lagunitas IPA, both beers are enjoyable, easy to sip on and refreshing. I don’t really ask more these days.

Good morning BAs!, and thanks to @Shanex for unlocking the door today. I had a great time at the bottle share last night and ubered home around 10pm. Starting with some coffee to shake off the chill - Alesmith’s Speedway Stout:

Canned 11/2/21. Poured at 55°. I haven’t had this beer in a few years. Great balance of bitter roast coffee and semi sweet chocolate.

One of the several outstanding beers from last night courtesy of:
@LADEDA - Cigar City’s [IMG]Spiritual Needs, a Whiskey BA imperial stout from the 13th Edition of the El Cat Club, gifted to me to share. Thanks Don, your beer was a hit!

Not much going on today, so I’ll just take it easy. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

I do ask for more : easily discernible dating, & not-old beer, soooo.... I do occasionally get SNPA , but not Lagunitas. I find it somewhat amusing that you can get it in decent condition there, but I've never found such here , on the few occasions I've tried it.:stuck_out_tongue:

Busch. Which is pretty terrible. But I was going in cheap. Pouring it into a glass helps, as out of the can is awful. When Bud is markedly better, you know you have reached a bottom.

Probably the bought over by Heineken thing, they’re so easy to find in various and different supermarkets for a fair price.

You’re in upstate NY? Albany, Rochester?

I'm at New Realm Brewing in Atlanta today. Cool place. Difficult parking, but it's downtown so no surprise. At the request of @TheIPAHunter , I'm trying one of their DIPAs, El JuicyCabra DIPA 9% ABV. This one is quite good. Very much on par with the great quality beers Mitch Steele & crew produce. Uses Amarillo, Mosaic & Calypso hops in various stages of brewing. Very tropical & citrusy, not bitter but not sweet either. Light bodied. Amazingly drinkable for a 9% ABV! I like it!

Lunch beer I picked up in Richmond last week - “Three Chopt” Belgian Tripel Ale by Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery, Goochland, VA:

No canning date. Poured at 51°. Deep gold with some clarity under cap, otherwise opaque; thick creamy white head; excellent cap retention; solid ring, medium heavy lacing; streaming carbonation/effervescent. Cloves and lemon; some banana aroma as liquid warms. Taste is spicy cloves, black pepper and lemon; some bitterness; firm lightly sweet malt base; dry finish. Medium plus body/almost full; high carbonation; no warmth from 9.3% abv. Overall an awesome well balanced beer; soft spicy alcohol but not boozy; fruity/spicy aftertaste; dangerously easy drinking for the abv.

    4.5 | 4.25 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 4.5
    Score: 4.29 rDev +10.6%

Doing a few tasters first. Besides the DIPA, this is the Hefeweizen. Another solid choice here. Light, with clove & banana aroma. Drinks easy. Checks in at 4.8% ABV.
