    Getting ready for my Packers to steal one from the Bears in Soldier Field and be crowned the NFC North Division Champs.

    I thought I'd bring out a "Wale" for the occasion.

    Right now, Im about to open a Pilsner Urquell, but Im scared about a bottle share im hosting later. I know a few smaller bottles will be opened. A fellow beer guy really wanted to try Stone Belgo Anise IRS, and I thought I would return the favor that a fellow BA gave me when he sent me the bottle. But after that I have no idea what the other 4 or 5 people are bringing.

    After an underwhelming Stone VE tasting last night, gonna move on. Will enjoy a Great Basin Mayan Maybe today. Has anyone else tried this? What a great find from Sparks/Reno Nevada.

    Taking a break today but damn I wish I had RAI Italia channels for football!

    ITALIAN FOOTBALL SUNDAY


    Quick note here about Italian football. I live close to Philadelphia and I know many Italians there as well. Our tradition here is going to the caffe and watching this on the Italian channels. Oh boy does it get exciting seeing 60 to 70 year old men shouting for their team! This is very special to me to see this because it does make me feel in some way I have a place I feel the most comfortable at. And the reason for many older Italians is the "Years of Lead" (Anni di piombo), which was a hard time for them living in Italy so you do not hear much of this immigration during the 60's and 80's.

    right now Bell's Two-Hearted Ale, rooting for my 'Skins, than off to a bottle share at a Steelers fan to root for a Cowboys loss with Pliny the Elder, Heady Topper will be consumed! Should be a GREAT day no matter who wins in football :grinning:
