I’ve always been a bourbon and beer fan. I just happen to live 5 hours away from the heart of Bourbon country and sometimes get lucky here and there with my resources. Trading beer for beer can be difficult at times or I have to go over on my end to land stuff on here. Then I think about what I’m spending to make things happen, then I sometimes unfortunately have to go the bourbon for beer route on the dreaded FB... It’s honestly the only way I can get beer ammo for this website crazy enough. That’s how I landed the Starry in the first place... I go through hoops to be able to get stuff to trade on here (at least notable whale stuff).

It takes a lot of effort, but I still make the effort to be apart of on here.

Don’t mean to be a downer just for the sake of being a downer… but Starry b2 has dropped steadily since that 100 valuation. It’s closer to like just a little over half that now… while Magic seems to be at or above what you estimated.

I know you’re offering generous extras, so it’s certainly possible someone might be willing to trade still, just thought it was worth pointing out given the thread’s theme.

    Ahhhg... Alright.

I bet a Blanton’s Store Pick would close it on the evil FB... I’ll hold onto hope on here, if that doesn’t work, you know where to find me.

Hopefully someone on here likes beer and is willing to swop with me. I’m offering extras...

Also wondering this. Just put a ISO on a local group with a few beers and some bourbon to trade. Will let you know if I get anything done. Was offered 1 for an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Private Barrel pick 1:1 and I passed.

Not sure if this helps with values but escape from planet doom was 500ml/$28. It was 1pp and bottle count was only about 50. It’s non barrel aged so I don’t see it being impossible to land but there are a very limited number

yeah i wasnt sure what the value might be with the combination of some people not knowing about them plus the very limited amount plus it being non ba. Might have to find the right set of eyes.

Depends on the batch. B3 is a little over halfway to assassin 21. B2 is closer to like 3/4 of the way there

Retail is about 85 and secondary about 120-140. I know the BA snowball secondary is up there but could not bring myself to trade 80 retail of very limited bourbon for 40 retail of very limited beer.

I have a hard time considering trading bourbon for beer as well. It’s a lot like how I used to feel about trading stouts for IPAs, or seeing people trade big stouts for Saisons. I know preferences differ, but it still is something that is hard for me to do as well. It’s much harder when it comes to giving up whiskey, because the value (when I consume it) is so much higher for whiskey. Even if I were to have a double every time I open that bottle, that’s still 8.33 experiences with that whiskey compared to [less] with the beer.

I’ve not found anyone willing to part with one at all yet with it being 1pp and small format.

Very valid points... It’s the roughest when we trade off multiple Bourbs for 1 Beer to bring to a bottle share and get a 5oz of the beer after all said n done. Sometimes it’s worth it because of fomo.

I've been out of the trading game for about 5 years and I have no idea what the "market" is anymore nor do I know what the "rules" are. I do remember back then that someone would inevitably cry "auction" anytime an open ended post was made. That said, happy for this forum.

I was in Brussels last month and brought back an extra bottle of Fou Foune, Mamouche, and Baie D'Argousier and I have no idea what to trade them for. Interested in other sours, used to love de garde, really looking for quantity more than anything else. What are these bottles worth? Is De Garde even good anymore? I don't see it on here at all.

Cantillon value: all of those are roughly 100 in value, the Fou/Mamouche a little less and the Tyrnalambic a little more. The latter is much rarer even if the “value” isn’t much more, so you could probably trade it for things a little higher than that range if I were to guess.

Value of American sours: deGarde is still making great beer, but has little to no secondary value. You could probably get 2-4 bottles for one of those Cantillon depending on what you’re looking for. Same can be said for shelfies from stalwarts like SP, Casey and SARA. The sours that are harder to acquire now are select things from those breweries (ie very limited SARA, Hill). I’m sure I’m forgetting others, but the new brewery making sours that are a little harder to obtain is Floodland, if you’re looking for something new.

    Cheers and welcome back!

Is Duck Duck Gooze trading at all right now? Would it swap for a selection of deGarde bottles from their shelf beers to society and SP collabs? 2:1? 3:1?
