    [​IMG] Right now it looks like Rowan got it, then my son Jasper got it, and most likely my wife now has it. My littlest Daya and myself are holding strong still. I shall drink so tasty local juice to that. Cheers all.

    Good day BAs! Thanks, @SawDog505, for starting today's thread. Whatever your family has, good luck and a speedy recovery!
    Last night when I went to the compost pile, the sky was hazy but you could still see third and an occasional fourth magnitude star - this morning it was completely overcast. At least I'll be inside all day as assistant cook for Saturnalia's over-consumption - today will at least be date pudding with separate brandy sauce and probably be more as well. That will be buffered by today's New Breakfast Beer, from a ninja hit fron @Coronaeus:

    Thanks Peter! Although I rated this a bit low (lack of head and lacing as well as virtually no aroma), the licorice flavor and balancing sweetness make this one I'd keep on hand as an occasional treat (Although I couldn't because it was a one-off)! Rating 3.83, rDev -6.4%.

    Pulled my oldest beer out of the refrigerator for my likely last cellar review of 2021. Could be the oldest I have period. Bottled about 8 years ago, the aroma and flavor really held well.

    Full review in the Cellar Review thread. Bottom line, this unique mix of smoky malt and sausage while drinking chocolate milk sounds a bit weird, but worked out well and very happy to be enjoying this morning.

    Plotting extending my Western Winter trip with all the nonsense going on here.

    I'm starting off with a pint of Drachenstadt Festbier from Levant of West Chester, PA. It's a proper marzen with malty notes of caramel and bread and light hippiness for balance. It's solid, nothing fancy, but Marzens aren't really fancy beers.
