Anyone hitting Notch Brighton this week? I’m off all week and trying to plan a few stops in. Might get there for open on Friday, but I really have no plans this week.

I'll be at Notch on Friday, but Notch Salem! Heading to the Northshore for Christmas weekend.

Headed to Connecticut on Friday for the Christmas weekend but let's talk offline.

Notch getting a jump on the new regs and mandating vaccines at Brighton and Salem effective today. Big from me on that!

Totally approve. Lamplighter announced their tap room is closing temporarily. I think this is the better option.

Yeah, Lamplighter can get tight inside plus you have to order from a bar where people are sitting unmasked. The spacious Notch layout works much better for this.

While true, it also depends on their ventilation. No matter how you slice it, everyone is spending large amounts of times unmasked. You can be six feet apart all day, but if your ventilation sucks, you're screwed.

Santa requires Cerne Pivo and white fudge dipped Oreos to be left for him so I had to message Brighton. A photo of a vaxx card works to get in.

5Ls of Cerne Pivo at the counter in Brighton if anyone needs something to counter visiting the in-laws tomorrow!

Chris’ Instagram stories have been pure entertainment since them announcing the vaccine requirement. There aren’t many things that bring me as much pleasure as watching people get upset about this stuff. A good lager maybe.

    It’s entertaining and infuriating.
“Hey, we’re getting ahead of the new rules and trying to protect our staff and business ASAP”

“Fascists! I’ll never buy your products again!”

On the plus side, I’m sure most of those people don’t actually go to Notch or buy their beer regularly. Just internet trolls.

I grabbed a few beers on Wednesday in Brighton. Showed my vax record (MyChart app), got my hand stamped, and sat down. Annoying (more for them than me) but easy.

Also ordered two 3-month beer subscriptions for two of my friends that live out of state as Xmas gifts. Support your locals, but particularly the places that treat their customers and employees with respect.

Was reading an article on Eater (Link) about restaurants acting ahead of local governments and the reactions they were getting. I wonder how many of these people actually live in the area vs just people targeting from wherever the heck they are. Despite the unhinged reactions, it seems these places have done okay/well because of it. There are plenty of people who find these measures reasonable or necessary and I'm happy that businesses are taking the steps to keep their staff and patrons safe. It makes it easier to support them for sure.

I get really upset when establishments ask me to wear a shirt and shoes too.

Eventbrite also listed an annual members only party. $200 seems kinda steep for what’s included, like I don’t buy that many 4-packs or crowlers. But I know MA rules limit what they can do as far as beer discounts. I still signed up and if I make the cut will assess how much use/value I get out of it.

Did you sign up for both locations to increase your chances of winning? Or is that a bad idea?

Right, but Eventbrite allows you to enter for both.

I assume if you won for both locations, they'd make you choose.
