What beer are you drinking now? #3354

Going to be honest, this is my least favorite day of the year. Christmas couldn’t further away and I get that empty feeling in the pit up my stomach. Thank goodness I am not working today and I have the Patriots playing. Good beer, cheers all.

 

I will sip this one for the next hour plus, I need to let it warm a bit for the flavors to open up.

 

Here’s to a day of doing not much of anything.

Full review in the New Beer Sunday #897 Thread. Bottom line, this one is OK/Good, but much preferred the fresh version enjoyed yesterday, flavors all muted / less sharp and varied. Oh well, know for next year.

 

Good day all you BA survivors of Xmas! Thanks @dcotom for starting today's thread. It was a warm (55 degrees) and rainy day here in NW PA yesterday as we had split multiple celebrations at varying locations for different combinations of family and friends, which will continue through today. My son and his female companion will be here later for dinner but her kids will be at their biological father's this year (Mom (and we) had them last xmas). Anyway, to make a complicated and boring story short, today's New Breakfast Beer is apparently the last of the tonnage sent by @Roy_Hobbs in NBS BIF #14:



An interesting fruited lambic using on of my two favorite berries. Good. Rating 4, rDev -4.8%. Thanks Ross!

Might have held onto this one a little too long, it's almost 6 years old. Gotta let it warm up some more too know for sure.


So, this was posted on a WBAYDN thread years ago and it's what really got me into Sam Beam. I don't remember which BA posted it, and I don't think they are really on here anymore, but thank you.
I love how his live performances are so different and, sometimes, better than the album version.
