I will have to try this next time, I was just drinking it by itself without any food. I can see how having something else smokey to compliment it will work better.

Can't wait to see how the Gotlandsdrika wild ale turns out myself. It also gives the another chance to make an awesome label.

We sampled the Gotlandsdricka aging in our barrel room recently. Based on what we tasted, we expect to blend and bottle it sometime in the next one to two months. However, we typically give our barrel aged, sour beers a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks in the bottle, so a spring release seems probable barring any setbacks.

Do we know if anymore Buddha's is expected to hit Houston? Want to gift a bottle to a friend (his nickname is Buddha and his first son will be born in the next week or so), but I haven't been able to score any.

If any Houstonians have a bottle for trade, I'd be up for an IP trade. Ideally at the Petrol xmas party/bottle share.

My Saturday score at Spec's in San Antonio. Four bottles of Funk Metal, one Das Wunderkind, and one Boxer's Revenge. $15.99 each, I believe. I don't pay too much attention to prices; I'm happy to support the JK guys.

The nice beer lady there told me they had never received any Buddha's Brew. Hrm.

My six-year-old daughter had an absolute blast looking at the JK labels!

Picked up a bottle of Buddha's at Whole Foods on 1604 and Blanco just this past Wednesday. It wasn't on the shelf I had to ask the guy at the bar. The Granary had some on cask yesterday.

I just did my inventory and I'm down to my last two. I think Jeff mentioned that they have a new batch coming soon (1-2 months) though, so I think I can skip the trip.

Spec's De Zavala and one or two HEBs still have it I believe.

It's in bottles based on his information regarding carbonation levels. Getting my big boy pants on for batch 3.

Das Uberkind drop this week? Any sightings at a none self-distro'ed location?

I saw at least one bottle at Rosedale Market last Friday on my way home from work. It's in that little cooler behind the counter.

I saw some packaged cases of Boxer's a couple weeks ago at the brewery on pallets, but don't know if there was really Boxer's in there, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Swung by Kroger at Eldridge/Briar Forest and grabbed the last 2 on the shelf.

Was at customer service buying stamps and someone called to ask if they had any. I heard the lady and told her I had just bought the last 2. Good thing I got there when I did.
