Bottled 9/26/21. Poured at 52°. Right as rain.

Gloomy cool day so far here in The Fan, but rain is not part of the forecast. Nate flew home to Florida last night. Not sure what is on today’s agenda…probably some puzzle building and perhaps some packing…Cheers y’all and have. Merry Monday!

 

Good day BAS and thanks to @dcotom for kicking off today's thread. The snow is just BEATING down at 31 degrees so I suspect it'll stop soon and maybe change to rain. I went sliding down the yard when I went out to get the paper - good think I've got big feet and a good sense of balance. Today's New Breakfast Beer is one that's been aging in my #1 reefer since Sep:



Not bad - the rear-lite ruby body looks really great with the Flying Dutchman on the nose. Unfortunately, the flavor doesn't support the nose. Rating 3.65, rDev - 4.2%.

 

If I'm lucky, I'll be heading out soon for a beer adventure, and also hoping Revolution reopens later this week. Have this beer to tide me over in the interim.

I'm trying to thin out my fridge before January including some beers I thought would make it to NBW. This is one of them. Brewfist La Trinidad El Pedro
A 13.8% English Barleywine made with only Maris Otter malt and East Kent Golding hops aged for one years in used Pedro Ximenez barrels.

I love everything about this beer except the long and unrefridgerated journey that it took to find me. It's excellent, but I can only imagine what is/was fresh and kept cool. Cheers all!
