In the comment responses they are also teasing that it looks like Double Nugget Nectar will be released sometime later as well.

For the cost of this beer and it’s horrible batch Inconsistency I no longer buy this. Last time I had a bottle was 2017 and I had a few on tap in 2018 at a party. I remember this being such an amazing beer. Could just be me.

    Enjoy

It used to be a fantastic beer ... Oh I miss that sweet candied Nectar goodness. I may or may not buy a sixer because like you I agree there are inconsistencies.

It's not just you, I have experienced the batch inconsistencies for years now also. But for my palate I still haven't had a bad one so I usually grab a bottle/six pack every year. I would be interested in trying the Double too, as Double Blizzard of Hops was a great take on the original.

Like others, I've also experienced batch inconsistencies over the years. However, I think palate shift also plays a part in my lack of appreciation for NN. For example, I've been less than thrilled with two hearted the last couple times I had it as well.

That being said, I still remember how much I used to look forward to NN each year when I lived in Baltimore, even driving up to Harrisburg one year for a special release event.

So I still like to try it each year if I have a chance, just for old times sake. (which now that I live in Portland Oregon, doesn't happen all that often).

Nope, not just you. Batch inconsistency is indeed a genuine issue as regards Nugget Nectar. I really wish I could say otherwise since when a batch of Nugget Nectar is 'on' it is a pleasure to drink.

    Cheers!

Maybe someday Troegs will 'learn' how to brew Nugget Nectar consistently?

    Cheers!

Only once a year, but many different "variants"!

    Well... you know the deal:

Date Code + good batch / bad batch.

Freshest by 4/21/22. Such a great classic beer. Balanced, attractive looking and taste like beer should. Maybe its been better but this 5 day old classic suits my taste far better than any hazy on the shelf surrounding it.

Yeah, that's good - but does it taste like Harrisburg-era Nugget Nectar of a dozen years ago?

Interesting - based on their post I assumed it was only Central PA this week. The last couple years they had set weeks for each regional area as the distribution expanded, so I assumed it wouldn't hit SEPA until at least next week, so maybe it's already here.

Do you know if Double Nugget is getting distributed this year? I think it was brewery only last year.

I am pretty sure I still see bottles and cans from last year on the shelves.

I haven't had this beer in many years, due in large part to the above mentioned batch inconsistencies. I may give it another shot this year.

My guesstimate is you have a 50/50 shot of obtaining a 'good' batch.

    To quote Dirty Harry:

    Cheers!

P.S. If you trust folks providing dates and their definition of 'good' perhaps you could improve your odds here? In past years I would note the dates of 'good' batches but when I went to my local beer retailer(s) the dates of the beers stacked there were different from the reported dates so....
