End of Year Thread Lockdown Protocols (2021)

    It's almost time to say goodbye to 2021, which means it's also time to say goodbye to threads that focused on 2021. You know, the ones dedicated to a brewery, region, activity, and whatnot with "2021" in the thread title.

    And here's what you need to know:
    • On Friday, December 31, I'll be automagically locking threads down at 6pm PST/9pm EST.
    • After this mass lockdown, you're free to create a new thread for 2022.
    • New thread guidelines:
      • Please contain "(2022)" at the end of the thread's title.
      • For brewery threads, make sure you include some form of informative intro to kick off the thread. Feel free to have fun with it too. You don't need to replicate information found on the brewery website or social media (like hours of operation or pandemic protocols), but you should include a link to its listing on BA, website, and social media.
      • For post a pic-style threads (hauls and whatnot), include a pic. Lead by example.
      • For annual tasting/review threads, include the guidelines for participation in the thread + a tasting/review. Again, lead by example. Setting expectations will greatly help with participation.
    • Failure to follow guidelines may result in the thread being removed by the mod team. Don't take it personally. These threads stick around for an entire year, so we expect them to be properly started.
    • If a thread got locked by mistake, please report it for the mod team to review.

    Be careful what you wish for, but I'm with you on that. Looking forward to more intriguing beers from all the breweries we expected to disappear in 2020, and amazingly they are mostly still here. Anybody have a thread on Brewery Survival (2022) ?
