Yes! I want names being named, I will name one under "Owner/Founder is a prick" - Starts with R rhymes with 'vogue'

My supply of different NA beers isn't very big as it is. Guess I will have to forgive possible shortcomings of breweries.

Shitty beer, everything else is case by case.

I will not boycott some brewery because some other person deems them not worth due to their world views. I will weigh facts, not opinions or hot takes. Not every brewery taken to court by an employer is bad actor, but plenty of people here would tell you otherwise.

I like the fact that I can find news information regarding various issues at breweries on Beer Advocate, so I can make up my mind. I may post a comment or two once the incident is fresh and discussion is ongoing, but try to leave it at that, and don't begrudge anyone for their beer selections.

I'm probably one of the few who won't purchase from select distributors. One of them is easier now that they sold their beer portfolio here, though I still need to be cognizant since they are also in Vegas. The other has a large craft presence here and California, so I limit my purchases (beyond drinks bought in a round for friends/family) to in person / to go at the brewery to avoid any business with them.

My criteria for boycotting are the same as for any other business:

Do owners/management treat their workers, patrons, community and own family right?

There are many other breweries I avoid vs. boycotting, but avoidance is due to the quality of their beers (or lack thereof) and better options in the market.

We are all human all imperfect. Under extreme stress we act by emotion. So if I were at a place and an owner or employee had a low moment and said something nasty that would not be enough. I went back a secy time then I talk to management. 3 Rd time no more chances

This is one I agree with. I do not have any breweries I won’t patronize, but if there was one that chose not to let me in despite safety protocols such as masks, social distancing, outdoor seating, etc. based on vaccination status alone, they wouldn’t see another dime from me; plain and simple. And before anyone gets any bright ideas, yes of course if this become full fledged law there won’t be much else I can say at that point. But as of now, at least in this state, there is no law mandating that crap. Cheers.

Now closed VA brewery called Flying Mouse used to just name their beer numbers with no indication of style... Very frustrating. And beer was meh, too I guess.

Distance is what keeps me away from majority of breweries.

@MacMalt was speaking about Jersey Shore Brewing and their ex-Atlantic City casino y'all. Make believe drama counts too, doesn't it?

I find that "naming" beers is a negative for me, and even more "Silly". Does brewery XYZ really expect me to order their beer by saying (sometimes yelling in a crowded bar) "Gimme a glass of the I Had a Hole in My Sock this Morning But Wore It Anyway!" Ditto for their distributors' salespeople and retailer customers? C'mon. IF I wanted that beer, despite the name, I'd just ask for "XYZ's IPA."

This is compounded by the fact that there is a good percentage of people here on BA (I guess because they're using their phones to post?) who find capitalizing names too difficult - one might even say they're "Lazy" - so one can read reviews or forum posts that read like this:

Making bad beer is number one. I'll give any brewery a second and maybe third chance, because shit can happen to the best of them. But if the beer is consistently sub-par then there is too much good stuff to keep hoping. I also stay away from breweries owned by "Big Beer", Inbev, Heineken and so forth as much as I can. They make enough money as it is. And lastly, if a brewery proves to engage in shitty practices towards staff, patrons or whoever, I'm gone. Mikkeller and BrewDog are the big ones over here who have been raked over the coals lately. It will take some doing to win me back. Well, for Mikkeller, BrewDog have always sucked.

Ah, the Chuck e Cheese breweries. See Bingo and Precarious. I love beer from both, but damn their brewery/arcades are madhouses.

Bad business model, offending 50% of your potential customers. I just don't get it.

I’d actually like more info on breweries who have been aggressive against unionization. That’s a big deal in my book and I definitely do not want to support such breweries moving foreword. Any info is appreciated.

Given the amount of noise on the shelves and the volume of local brewers, I need reasons to buy products more than reasons to ignore them. Ignoring has become the rule rather than the exception.

I hate to say it, but there is a brewery that is just soul sucking to visit. The beer is good, but the usual bartender just isn't into it, the place is gigantic, ill designed and usually pretty empty. I'd just rather go somewhere else (thank god for the time we live in).

I've had several occasions where I would take a brewery off my list because I've had so many of their beers, in some cases they all start to taste the same. I year or so goes by, some new offerings emerge and I'm back to that brewery.

I took a brewery off my list because one of their beers tasted and smelled of cat piss, from what I understand this is an indication of poor sanitary practices. I gave that brewery another chance a few years later and was not disappointed.

My point is, wait a while and see if the issues that are important to you have been resolved before permanently 86-ing a brewery.

Lots of people get "cat urine" from Simcoe and Citra hops.
