Ah, I coulda figured it out, but I no longer keep up with the "hip" breweries (are they still "hip" or "old school" by now?). I still think of them as Danish, I guess (the country not the dessert). I suppose that seemingly-phony "brother rivalry" publicity thing turned me off years ago.

THIS! Also, I understand the argument for using those trendy little QR codes instead of a physical menu, but I'm old and stubborn and the company doesn't like me loading apps that are not directly business related on the company phone. I tip better than most, so just because I'm old and not digitally wired in, it would be unwise to blow me off when I request a physical menu.

Brewing, virtually nothing but sours and chili beers, ignoring traditional styles.

That is a pretty comprehensive and entertaining list.

I absolutely fucking refuse to patronize a Texas Roadhouse due to the loud music. It is always at an unbearable level. No matter what state, what time of day, or even what decade. (I also have a peanut allergy, so no great loss.)

Actually, I was referring to another brewery in another part of the state. I intentionally didn't identify it because I don't want to engage in a debate on the merits. The point of this thread is, "reasons for not patronizing a brewery." Truth is, I cannot stand politics and I refuse to be drawn into political/social issues when it comes to diversions - be it sports or beer. A brewery has every right to espouse political/social positions. I just want no part of it.

Neither do I and I totally agree, but some BA’s (and a great number of others) would have you believe if you DON’T participate, especially in their favor, that you are actually part of the problem. I guess what I’m saying is, don’t be surprised if this response doesn’t satisfy them. Cheers.

I wonder how long that sour and chili beer brewery will stay in business if they don't branch out.

You can also add bad brewery names, loud music, ignoring traditional styles and kids running around the brewpub like it was Romper Room.

Thing is, he's been a long time friend and brewer since the Wyoming State Brewing days where he typically brewed a lot of traditional styles and had a lot more hits than misses. I AM worried aboot his brewery's future as well

If all they brew are beers along the Pale ale/IPA spectrum then 90% chance I wont frequent them.

Here is my list of criteria for no way Jose
Crowds, if I have to wait to get a beer, I'm out.
    Distance
    Parking
    Variety & style leanings.
Food, not a must but nice, however if the food is better than the beer than I'll just go to a place with good food and a great beer selection.
Great food and a middling in house beer selection is sad. Not unlike a 5 star chef working at a strip joint, nice try but not what I'm here for.
