    Pulled out the Duchesse. Per the cork, this expired in August 2022.

    Full review in the 2022 Cellar Review Thread. Bottom line is this beer is excellent, hasn't lost a step and actually improved in terms of my enjoyment with more tartness and less sweetness than noted of a fresh version.

    Enjoying the first pour, but resealed to enjoy the rest later today.

    Lots of Overkill in Chicago these days.

    A much expected slow start on a the first Monday of Dry January. DC area shutdown actually seems warranted for a change.

    No white Christmas here (it was in the high 60s here), but just over a week later, enjoying Kentucky Christmas Morning on a snow day. Although eventually I’m gonna have to shovel this stuff.

    Good morning BAs! We had to take our “puppy” Tui to the vet first thing this morning…he’s fine, allergies and an ear infection that was driving him crazy yesterday…all better now.

    A post breakfast cellar pull - Founders’ CBS (2017):

    Poured at 53° (my chiller is set at 50°). Maple is subdued and bitter roast coffee has notes of green bell pepper peeking through…Tastes fine, but seems a shell of its former self. Onward science!

    The outside temp is 63° and has been steadily dropping all morning; sunny with gusty cold winds; an afternoon of 53° forecast…a great day to work in the garage and drink stouts. Cheers y’all and have a marvy Monday!

    Good afternoon, advocates. Just got back from a round of disc golf this morning. It was like 28 degrees outside. Haha! Still had fun, though. BTW, I love the classics. This one is no exception. Gave my buddy a can earlier because he appreciates the classics, too. This is really tasting delicious right now. Thank you, Bear Republic! Cheers.

    Here's a stupid question: How can one tell when they're do for renewal? When I click on Society, it tells me that I already belong. However, when I click on available upgrades, it says that I can purchase a 1-year society perk for $14.99.

    Took my first walk of the new year, Sun a mixed blessing in the Winter as it feels nice on the face but typically signals colder temps with the clear skies. Trying to average 6.7 miles per day this year.
