New Glarus (2022)

It was inevitable once the Chicagoland area expanded to include New Glarus, WI.

Do doppelbocks age well? I can think of a few examples of barrel-aged doppelbocks and eisbocks that seem like they would be cellarable in that they've already been aged before bottling. Guess what I'm wondering is what will Gyrator do after a year or two or more in the bottle? I have a basic idea what happens to stuff like wild ales, Barleywines, and stouts after some time but how about a doppelbock? I'll find out for myself I guess but does anyone have any experience?

 

@Grounder shamed me for wanting a fresh dunkel...I bet he has an opinion?

Snark aside, I'd bet it won't be awful after a year...I've drank plenty of Celebrator doppelbocks that I couldn't tell the date on, and they've all been fantastic.

EDIT 1: I like @Grounder and this was purely meant in jest
EDIT 2: I don't think you should age this on purpose. Fresh beer = best beer. This probably will age gracefully...but I highly doubt it will improve. SOURCE: my ongoing understanding of beer.

 

Thats because their beer sucks so there’s nothing else to talk about than gas station pizzerias, good pizza and bbq
