Nah, I mapped out a trip already and it seems like it's exactly what I'm looking for... 5:30am departure, 5-6 hours of skiing depending on traffic, 1 hour for a beer and pickup at Tree House, and home by 9:30-10:00 depending on how long it takes to stop for food.

Yup, I try to make the Stowe-area trip once a year and have it planned for late February. But I just got a new pair of skis I want to try ASAP... and I'm not all that interested in hitting up Alchemist/Lawson's as we get them distributed fresh in Philly. Much more interested in Hill, but they aren't open at the moment.

Yeah I had it the first or second time they made it and thought it was awesome. Noticeable banana but not over the top.

Fwiw Lawson's and Alchemist both have a lot more on site than what's distributed, but I def get saving a VT trip for when HF is open.

Word. 7 hours on the road after skiing hunter would make me want to shoot myself but we all have different tolerances for skiing and driving.

If you are going to Deerfield its pick-up only. You won’t need an hour.

Unexpectedly it's about exactly the same distance from Hunter to both Charlton and Deerfield, so I figure I might as well go to Charlton.

But how about Deerfield vs Charlton back to your house, still about the same? If you’re back tracking, I guess it would be....

Going to Deerfield for the first time on Saturday and my first trip to TH since moving out of MA ~16 months ago. I went regularly for years and deciding what to get was never an issue, especially in Monson, since you really only had a few options and the limits prevented you from walking away with all that much. When I looked at the available cans today, I was completely overwhelmed! So many options and I only really want to get 4-5 four packs plus some bottles. Any must-try's currently available in Deerfield (beyond the obvious jjjuice machine & very gggreenn)?

Sssappp is absolutely ridiculous. Must buy.

Hit Deerfield tonight. Those who went up tonight notice the nice ice rink, lit patio and private party? Asked the staff when the pours for the rest of us pleebs would be occurring. Response was "soon, very soon. Watch social media". I guess sharpen your skates and get ready.

Second the recommendations for Sssappp and Jjjuice project citra + citra. I was able to snag 1 can of Bigger Peach last week. If that's still an option, highly recommend.

Great choices on the triple juice machine and triple VG. Grabbed those myself but if ya wanna try something a bit off the hop reservation free to roam is just plain excellent.

Catch 22 for me, in house pizza but no dogs allowed. Guess I’ll stick to Charlton for now

Deerfield looks pretty awesome. Love what theyve done with the place. I’m overdue for so this will be just the excuse I need.

we didn't have time for pours yesterday, but the no dogs rule was music to my wife's ears. She's got a pretty severe dog allergy and hasn't been able to enjoy drinks at Charlton since they opened b/c there's always 20+ dogs. I get that people love to take their dogs everywhere, but the flip side is that people with allergies get shafted. It's unfortunate Charlton is inaccessible for my wife b/c last I checked, dogs aren't purchasing beers, but people do. Regardless, our stop at Deerfield yesterday was super easy and we were extremely impressed with the location. It's massive and extremely convenient! We will definitely be back sometime this spring.

I asked my dog, he confirmed that dogs, in fact, don’t purchase beers. He then ranted about the fact that children don’t either.

I will argue, on his behalf, people regularly stop to pet him, and take photos of/with him (he’s a cute little frenchy)

I’m glad you and your wife enjoyed Deerfield!

    Did you try the pizza?

Thankfully, the tide has began to turn on dogs at breweries. More and more places I've visited don't allow them. And yet, said breweries are still very, very busy. I've seen lots of people able to enjoy themselves without being accompanied by barking, yapping, shedding, slobbering, whining, howling.... Weird, I know.
