I have seen them stored in racks going up. There is still floor space being used based on how large your program is. In theory you might need to build a secondary storage area. I get the BA prices are high. I also understand why but I do think some breweries charge more than others because they can. Lagunitas charged $12 a six pack for Hi-West and prior to that the 22oz were $8! They easily could have charged $20 a four pack or a bomber, but they did not. This was pre Heineken days too. Enjoy
I drove to Petaluma for the release of these as it landed around my birthday and i showed up a day early. I NEVER forget how fuckin awesome the guy at the register of the gift/ beer shop was. He walked through the double doors thatclead to the back of what I assume was the bottling/ brewing area and came back with one inside a brown bag. Told me to keep it hush hush He didnt even charge me . When i got back to los angeles i was gettin them for 6 dollars a pop.
I've often wondered if breweries like this have their cellar aging space in cheaper markets. Paying for square footage to store barrels in Seattle (Fremont) is pricey. Paying for a commercial warehouse in a less major city could provide a significant cost savings. Not sure how much it would effect beer pricing, but I've often wondered how it impacts prices. Heck, even Firestone (or Duvel) opted to age Parabola in Missouri (Boulevard Brewing) instead of California. Was this incentivized by cost savings in storage space / employee wages?

Is there any info on how many barrels a brewery might have? I was at Allagash in 2013 and they had a good amount but not all that many. Could shed some light on storage needs vs cost. Enjoy
2021 Brew 5k from Fremont hit my feed this afternoon and is still available in case anyone is interested. Limit 1 so I snagged one myself even though I still have one I've been saving in the cellar.

They lost their western NY carrier a bit ago. I set up a UPS address over the PA border. Two hours each way is a PITA, but for beers I would likely never get otherwise, it’s ok. Then I usually go another hour longer to Ohio for more beers I can’t get here… Stock answer to wife: I have a job. You have a job. Kids are grown and out. There’s money for beer.
That's cuz I rate to style. Watch the flying arm bar if you throw that cross too sloppy... Back to reality though, stone beers have never really stood out in any way to me. The best one I had was the anniversary ale that was a brown ipa. That isn't saying much.
Where do you go in Ohio? Is it Vintage Estates outside Youngstown? If not, and if that is not TOO much further, I highly recommend checking it out. Incredible bottle selection and always a bunch of great options on tap for a flight. I hit them up when I visit the in-laws and they are great.
I hit a small chain called Red, Wine, and Brew or something like that. Two of the stores are within 30 minutes of each other. I can get Rev at times, Jackie O’s BA stuff, Weyerbacher, all kinds of goodies.
I do like me some Fyodor though. Old Guardian was an interesting smoked barleywine. Totalitarian seemed good. WootStout…hey, man. I think your taste buds are off!
…about another hour from Chesterland. A little over 3 hours from home, so if I ever did a straight run about the same time. 1300 craft labels…goddammit. Now I’m going to have to drive there. I’m telling my wife it’s your fault. There is a Voodoo Brewing about five minutes from where I get my Tavour order. If I knew how they worked their BA stuff, maybe I could score something good?
Came here to mention this. There was some large format BA bottle from Junkyard up for a bit too. I've also got Atrial Rubicte, Black Atrial, Spon, Barrier hops, and a Mortalis Stout in my feed at the moment. Tavour coming at me real hard right now. Don't worry @Resistance88 I didn't buy anything.

Back to my thrilling shipping timeline: Per today's tracking update, my crate that closed on Dec 27 has just made it from Seattle all the way to...Portland, Oregon. Only took 12 days since it was first "shipped". Let's hope they unloaded the horses today and packed everything onto the train in Portland so it picks up speed on the next leg of the journey.

Are you still showing that Atrial Rubicite is available? I have the other Jester King bottles in my feed, and emailed about Rubicite, as I love that beer. Was told it's sold out and I wouldn't be seeing it in my feed.
