Cool post. My grandfather switched to NA when I was a kid for health reasons also. He was an O'Doul's man. You're bringing back memories for me. I'm raising my bourbon glass to your Pop Pop now.

 

Casita brewing Querido y Perdido. It gushed a bit, has some cherry flavors. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Roasted malts, Cinnamon and chile up front. Cocoa nibs smooth out the roast and chiles, some vanilla after the swallow when breathing out. It's OK. Nothing spectacular but tasty. Breaking my rule of not drinking in a bad mood. Oh well. Watching Ron Perlman as Hellboy. I'd love to see Del Toro make the last movie in the trilogy.

 

Liquor World says they are getting 3 more tomorrow. But they could be ones you've already seen. I am likely going to Tulsa on Monday

The sourness and acidity from the Brettanomyces--as well as the high level of carbonation--are vigorous palate cleansers! Cuts right through all that spice.

 

I used to get Venison salami from my uncle when I was younger. Man, that stuff was good.
