No. It is actually time for MOTHERFUCKING GRAVEDIGGER BILLY!!

I was blown away by this beer in 2014 (!) when I had it on draft at the OG Fischman's...maybe the first "Scotch Ale" I truly loved.

I thought it was excellent in 2018, the only time I had it via cans.

The Double Barrel Billy Limited was sublime: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22072/385265/

So, as we mostly agree on here that Revolution keeps levelling up on the Deep Woods series...I can't wait to see how a new batch of Gravedigger Billy tastes.

SIDE NOTE: yes, it's absolutely time for VSOR and I can't wait to try it.

    Yes. Yes it is.
The bottle I had, and the cans I had, all are sweet memories. I love a good BA Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy by Alesmith, Backwoods Bastard, Brewer’s Reserve Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale from CW, etc...)

Hell yeah it was! I hope to pop in for the variants on the 28th, if I have time and COVID is not raging too horribly?!?

By some Daily Grind by Penrose. 6% stout with coffee. I didn’t get to try the coffee Eugene this year, but I didn’t go buy it cuz I bought several 4pks of the daily grind

Finally picked up and tried Dark Mode today. Really dig it but I think I would probably take Deth’s Tar over it more times than not. It does really seem like it would be an amazing base for a coffee variant though. I think the slight lactose sweetness would accompany it well.

Right now the taproom is open at noon for order pickups, though not open for bar service during the week -- https://revbrew.com/visit/brewery

Stopped in today to get some orders and, of course, it went super fast and the service was outstanding as usual.
I was reminded that for the next Deep Wood release on 1/28 they have announced they will not open the taproom for bar service until 2pm, though pickups can start at noon.
BUT - that can change at any time due to staffing issues, additional restrictions, etc...
...yep, COVID sucks. But Revolution helps take the sting out of it a little bit.

This is good to know. I saw the note on the FB event about them opening at 2, but didn't see anything about pickups starting at noon.

More surprised by the limit 3 since VSOJ was $50 limit 1 to the public (2 for Fight Club).

I guess $12.50 per VSOR doesn't make me bat an eye. I'm a FUPA God, though.

The only thing offensive to me is the limit on Gravedigger Billy; I want a case.

Citra Hero is nice. It’s not as good as RH3000 but it’s right down the middle. I noticed Instagram posts didn’t mention any other hops in the mix with Citra this time and I’m guessing it actually could be a single hop IPA. I could be wrong, but it seems rather one note. That note is delicious, but coming off of RH3000, this Citra hero was going to be tough time standing up to its predecessor

Had my last Thundertaker last night. Good but definitely seemed muted flavor-wise. Just didn’t have the intensity and depth it originally did. Having a ‘21 VSOJ tonight. I get what others have said about it being sweet and rounded, but it’s still very good and so enjoyable.

I liked this, but I'd really like to like like like it or embrace it in more than a friend sort of way. Woohoo!
