Trade Value Thread (Q1 2022)

I am seeing 10th anni around 1-1.5 VRU for trades. Saison for stouts always seems like an uphill battle or right set of eyes scenario, but I think 1ks (+) is a solid offer. Also depends on batch if I'm correct (b1> b2/b3) from a value perspective. May need a bigger plus with later batches vs small plus for b1.

FWIW B1 1ks was one of the best saisons I've ever had. 10th anni was a slightly above average stout. Good luck @KevSal.

10th anniversary has definitely dropped in value and I’d say it’s right there with 1KS in value or slightly less. Maybe a small plus on the 1KS side. Good luck

Well that worked out alright, closed a 1ks + for a 10th anny . Got a lot of mesgs too, maybe could have closed 1:1, maybe value in 1ks is going up?

 

I think 1ks value has stayed the same, but 10th Anny has gone down a lot. Having tried both, 1ks is much better to me, while I thought 10th Anniversary wasn't very good at all, not much going on in it.

 

anyone seen recent trades involving WW Medianoche Reserve 2021?

thinking it’s a “higher end” noche but can find much on it. that said, was specifically wondering if a MHJ 21 would get a plus (a lesser noche or 2)?

No, but it’s good. I have had all of the beers discussed: HJ>Starryb1>Reserve>Starryb2

With a big margin between each of those 4

 

I think from a trade value aspect yes though. Handjee would probably have slightly higher value if you were splitting hairs.

Any price check on Southern Grist Batch One Theory Double Barrel? Wanting to trade for lambic and looking for a good ballpark

 

Do 8th state ba bottles not hold much value anymore? I thought they used to but maybe not? For example hyperbolic.

 

In quick terms: most of the barrel-aged bottles are inflated to the moon, while the non-BA stuff isn't all that valuable.

 

gotcha. so where would you value hyperbolic? any idea how close to would be to assassin21, ctm (19, 20, 21) or double corylus?

 

@TheNinthLetter I'm no authority, but it should be reasonably close to Assassin '21 and CTM, if not 1:1. Not entirely sure about Double Corylus (haven't seen a ton move).

8th state side. My brother moved close by and doesnt drink stouts or bwines really so he and his roomate usually each grab the 1pp bottles for me so i can drink one and trade one. But i feel like i dont see many iso’s

 

Mostly on FB. Eighth State traders get alot of traction there.
