    One of the goals I set myself an hour or so ago in the 2022 Beer Goals for Better Beer Advocacy thread was to start a new WBAYDN thread. Talk about setting myself up for success!

    So, hopefully I've not broken any rules starting this one. It's after midnight Pacific time, and early Friday evening here in Oz, so I figure all bets are off.

    Tonight's beer has an international theme. It's Brouwerij De Glazen Toren's Ondineke Oilsjtersen Tripel, and it's being drunk while watching Australia versus England in the cricket, being played in a chilly Hobart down in Tasmania.

    The beer is from my International Beer Collector Subscription and is a cracking example of a Belgian Tripel. It's dry, yeasty and peppery. There's some candied lemon and an attractive alcoholic warmth. I said the beer is dry but the spicy pepper hangs around when the other flavours have dissipated.

    I should also note that despite the evidence in the photo, I am normally able to pour a beer, and to avoid my reflection in beer photos...

    Good morning BAs! I had my first PT yesterday, and also took the day off as a cleanse day. The dogs and I have completed our morning ritual, so it’s coffee time - KBS:

    Bottled 9/9/21. Poured at 56°. Smooth and tasty as always.

    It’s lovely outside, 58°, sunny with a slight breeze. Perfect for our morning walk. The hydrangeas on the front porch are blooming like crazy:

    @BeerVikingSailor - Congratulations on your retirement, still remember fondly my last day and touring some breweries after my 11:30 AM exit interview.

    @BlameHouston - Binion's sadly have ruined many of their favorable gambling games, but remember fondly they days they offered a fair bet, great hospitality led by Benny and then Jack, before Becky ruined it.

    @beergoot - Hope all goes well with the services for Uncle David today.

    Starting off with my first NA beer as a Beer Advocate, purchased primarily for the NA Beer Tasting hosted by @elNopalero this weekend.

    Full review here. Bottom line is I was pleasantly surprised, this smelled just like the wort at a brewery, tasted like the corn mash I've had at the Jack Daniels distillery. Not sure I'm converting to NA, but nice to know there are good options out there.

    Heading to America (i.e. beyond the boundaries of the N Wisconsin / E Indiana / S I-80 / W IL-31/US12) this weekend for the first time since the @scream tribute at 3 Sheeps. Looking forward to enjoying some good beers in Indiana, and hoping to find fresh Fat Heads to bring back and try for the first time, after seeing so many enjoy their beers in these threads.

    Afternoon BA, pups woke me up at 8:00am so threw a hunk of meat, spices and some accompaniments in the slow cooker since I was awake. It should be good to go about 5:00pm for some sandwiches.

    Have a few of these in the fridge that seem perfect for today. Come have a NA beer over in the N/A Tasting Thread!

    For what it is, definitely a solid NA IPA. Reminded me of a Session IPA in mouthfeel, you know, that hop water feel. Thin body, pretty carbonated. Citrus and grapefruit does come through.

    Back to getting some cleaning done!
