I’m looking to acquire a bottle of Blauw. I had a bottle but let it go without ever trying it so I’m regretting it now. I am open to international trades and can provide several trades including international. If you have a bottle and would consider trading it but not too keen on this list message me so we can work something out. I have other options.

Trading rare bottles you've never tried, for shame.

You still need to add a Blauw on your end to even this out.

I'm curious what you traded it away for especially if you're just offering up BCBS.

You're way off unfortunately, even with your BCBS at secondary value, you have like $450 worth of beer at best and Blauw goes for $1500+. Even if you offered up 4x this offer, no one wants crappy BCBS for their whale.

Not really even that sad. A lot of these BCBS are sitting on shelfs. These are literally shelfies, some of which aren't even all that great, which he's offering up for a near ghost whale. I don't usually like to pile in on stuff like this, but it's just absurd.

Caramella, Cola, regular recent BCBS (not to mention there's no such thing as 2022, but I'll let it slide...oops too late).

I feel bad this person is getting piled on. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about lambic can suggest a fruited Cantillon that would be obtainable for the birthday + double barrel? Any lambic lovers have any helpful suggestions? Unless they're just looking to tick Blauw in which case they're SOL

I think this is really tame feedback given the circumstances. OP did this to themselves, so can’t really feel too bad.

What I’ll never understand is trading away bottles that a person has never had before for other things. Especially one of this level. You have it, drink it. Instead, you’re left chasing it.

Thanks for all the positive and helpful feedback…. I use to trade a lot on here but stopped several years ago partly because of all the negativity and bashing from naysayers and newbies that was happening. Back in the day if a trade was off then the crickets would reveal it but that doesn’t give people the satisfaction of bashing someone I guess. Obviously I was sizably off on my end with this trade. It’s been a while since I’ve even been on here. I’m not new to the trading scene, being a member since 2010, and have hundreds of trades under my belt but like I said I’ve been out of it for a several years and it’s a different ballgame now. And just an fyi that is the same trade I obtained the Blauw with originally. International trade for 15 Bourbon County Variants. With that said, I understand things are different now, 1) Blauw is older and more valuable than when I first obtained it. 2) BC is not as sought after as it once was especially overseas. 3) Quantity trades for Rare beers don’t happen as often as they use to. And lastly, for the ones who criticize me for letting that beer go, you don’t know the circumstances and without going into details I believe a lot of you would have done the same thing if you were in my shoes. I wasn’t just chasing other beers. So with all that said, thanks for the one or two who was polite with their feedback and I will be reposting with some more enticing beers to hopefully catch someone’s interest and that will meet the masses approval but if not it’s not the end of the world either… there would be other whales to be had.
