Mad scientists brewing beer made of barrel aged wild ale brewed with rice, fermented koji, golden oyster mushrooms and cedarwood. KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD! For real!

 

Love the door pull on the brewery. That's really cool!

 

The second half of this one pint 9.4 ounce bottle is rather cloudy. Will it taste different?

Westbound & Down Sightseer Hazy IPA with Nelson. A very well done hazebro! With their Lafayette location now open they'll be competing with Liquid Mechanics and others for my $. I'm beyond spoiled with local choices out here!

Wow, this is good! I just reviewed it on the NBW thread.

 

Aged in wine barrels for 2 years and on raspberries for 4 months.

 

Bierstadt/Breakside Carolina Gold Lager (rice lager w/ Mistral/Strisselspalt hops). Extremely quaffable...crisp, dry, and refreshing. A really nice noble hop presence, along with some floral, light white pear, and very slight orange. Feel is crisp, airy, soft, and slick. Although there's not much competition, this is by far the best rice lager I've had. The more I drink their stuff, the more I'm convinced that Bierstadt is the king of lager in the US.
