It’s a new day, it’s a new week. That rings a bell I think, a song or something?

Yes again drinking the Stonewall inn IPA because it’s quite tasty and low ABV making it ideal for late morning drinking:

Good morning BAs, and thanks to @Shanex for getting us going today. I slept in late…the usual dog and kitchen chores completed…coffee time - BCBS (2021):

Bottled 07Jul21. Poured at 54°. The 14% version. Bourbon and bittersweet dark chocolate, with a touch of roast bitterness. I’ve mentioned before that I think this year’s OG version is even better than the last several years. Delicious!

Partly sunny, very windy and the temperature will not rise above the low 60s. Perfect weather for outdoor activities…yesterday we took the dogs to the beach at Fort Desoto Park. The place was crazy with sailboards and hang gliders (quite a gusty day) and few surfers (small but decent waves).

Today I plan on relaxing at home, a favorite beer in hand. Have a great day y’all, and Cheers!

Day off today. Thank you @Shanex for todays thread. Great time to try this bad boy. Only 10 days shy of being 1 yr old. I bought it chilled and it's been in my fridge ever since. Pours fantastically, smells awesome: dark fruits/berries, coffee, choco, char. Taste is sharp bitter dark choco, coffee char, very dark toasted malts, some alcohol heat in the throat (another can at 8 months old didn't really have the heat). Still has some pine resin but is not as oily as before. There is gentle sweetness but heavy bitterness lingers and softens as the beer warms. Feel is firm, semi-juicy & med-heavy to heavily bodied and moderately drying. This beer stands up well now and could probly age well for another year easily. Very enjoyable and excellent. Cheers Advocates!

    Hey Monday BA's

Wow, I think nature is playing a cruel joke on my first real day of retirement! We got over a foot of snow here overnight, and I have drifts that are in the 2-3 ft range down my 100+ ft long driveway! Glad I do not really need to be anywhere today - although I have been slowly working on clearing my drive - little bits at a time (I'm old! and just have a shovel!)....this is warming me up after session # 3 with Mr Snow Shovel!

Cracked open my first ever Fat Head's beer. Came in with high expectations due to all the praise registered in these threads.

Full review in the extended New Beer Weekend thread. Bottom line, this beer is worthy of all the praise it has received over the years. Truly grateful to have finally had the chance to pick up. If my user name becomes IndianaJ or OhioJ later this year, this beer may have tipped the scales.

Dug out car at 6am. We got about 16 inches with drifts over two feet. At work, stuck cars in all three street entrances. Helping one get out when I get a text saying not to come. Drive home and got stuck in plow drift at the end of our street. 90 minutes later I’m in the driveway and get a call asking me to remote into work. My reply was, “I have to choose my beer first.”

It’s a Tröegs Nugget Nectar. Cheers!
