    Thick looking pouring, and black. The head is 3 finger, and tan, but it dissipated rapidly. There's no lacing at all on the glass.
    I get a lot of raisin and plum in the nose. I get caramel, toffee, and chocolate also.
    This beer is a full on dark fruit bomb. Tons of plum and raisin, and it lasts throughout. I get hints of chocolate, toffee, and caramel on the back.
    There's a bit of heat to this beer, but not too strong. The body is also thick and good.
    Delicious.


    Also watching a documentary, and I'm getting angry as hell watching it. I won't say the name here, because it goes into current events and politics.

    So here's something to cheer me up.

    Another Bavarian « go to » beer for me, I got tired of Eku 28 by now and can’t find many other great German beers beside at the store, on a bit of a budget these days so that really is nice to sip on. It’s sunny and almost mild this afternoon here. Enjoying it all:

    Cellar beer today, this one same beer but 1 year younger, not nearly as enjoyable as the 2016 version I opened last Monday.

    Full review in the Cellar Review thread. Bottom line is I'm at a loss as to whether the difference can be chalked up to batch variance, storage (cellar vs. refrigeration) and or age. Still decent.

    My 1st day ever in Florida was like that. Slept in the back of the truck at a rest stop near Roanoke, at 12F, because the way people were driving in the snow was scary.(75-80mph) The cold weather seemed to follow us south , didn't hit above-freezing til S Carolina . Then we got to Deckle Beach (sp?) , FL . 55F at the beach? Shorts & t-shirt weather !:heavymetal: Got some looks. :thinking_face::open_mouth:
    (It was -22F at home that morning. :smile:)

    Great beer to me too. One of my favorites in my early days here on BA. And budget friendly (in NW Europe that is). Not seen it here for a some years now.
